- • Lead the design and delivery of SoC requirements and architecture to deliver exceptional customer experiences for d-Matrix’s AI compute engine.
- • Analyze AI workloads including transformers and CNNs across existing and emerging product categories to identify performance bottlenecks and architectural opportunities.
- • Drive architectural exploration and co-design of hardware-software components including SIMD engine, control plane, data reshape engine, data converter blocks, and NoC substrate.
- • Conduct performance projection, modeling, correlation, and debug activities for flagship products (Corsair I and II) and next-generation AI silicon.
- • Develop and maintain high-level simulation and research tools to enable architectural exploration of current and future product generations.
- • Engage in kernel development and assist in enhancements to the networking fabric of d-Matrix’s AI compute platform.
- • Port customer workloads, optimize them for deployment, generate reference implementations, and evaluate performance metrics.
- • Collaborate closely with RTL, DV, and software teams to align architecture with implementation milestones and stack development.
- • Report and present technical progress and architectural decisions clearly and timely to cross-functional stakeholders.
- • Contribute to academic publications and intellectual property creation based on architectural innovations and research.
- • Define and validate SoC architecture requirements focused on performance, power efficiency, thermal management, memory subsystems, interconnects, and packaging.
- • Apply deep, current knowledge of machine learning and modern deep learning architectures to inform hardware design decisions.
- • Hands-on experience with CNN, RNN, and Transformer neural network structures to guide efficient hardware-software co-design.
- • Identify potential architectural flaws early in the design phase and propose effective, elegant solutions without compromise.
- • Work in a hybrid environment based in Santa Clara, CA, collaborating with global teams on cutting-edge AI silicon development.
🎯 Requirements
- • MS in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience in compute architecture and system design
- • 5+ years of demonstrated experience leading SoC architecture or design development
- • Expert knowledge of AI SoC architecture, requirements, and definition
- • Deep, current knowledge of machine learning and modern deep learning architectures (CNN, RNN, Transformer)
- • High proficiency in performance modeling (analytical to cycle-accurate) and performance correlation
- • Experience with CPU, GPU, ASIC, and ML accelerator architecture exploration and modeling
