- • Join a small, hands-on team building computer vision and wearable systems for defense and government applications
- • Deploy machine learning models on hardware-constrained devices with limited computational resources
- • Evaluate and customize open-source ML models to meet Reflex-specific performance requirements using quantization and MLOps practices
- • Build and train custom machine learning models tailored to specific customer use cases
- • Articulate technical trade-offs between different ML techniques and their suitability for embedded deployment
- • Develop intuitive, modern UI interfaces across multiple platforms to ensure seamless user experience
- • Manage user interaction workflows and optimize UX in close collaboration with hardware teams
- • Write low-level code to interact directly with hardware component drivers and peripherals
- • Develop software to enable and optimize wireless communication protocols including WiFi and Bluetooth
- • Ensure robust, reliable communication and performance across embedded systems under real-world conditions
- • Prototype rapidly and debug issues spanning both software and hardware layers
- • Work in a build-first, fast-paced startup environment with minimal bureaucracy and high autonomy
- • Collaborate hands-on with hardware engineers in lab settings, including occasional travel to testing facilities
- • Contribute to end-to-end development of embedded systems—from model training to firmware to user interface
- • Operate within a mission-driven culture focused on solving quiet, unaddressed problems that impact national security and stability
- • Work alongside strategic partners including Palantir, Anduril, and Helsing to deliver mission-critical technology
- • Maintain eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; active clearance is preferred
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong experience in embedded systems, microcontrollers, and Linux development
- • Proven ability to deploy machine learning models on hardware-constrained devices
- • Experience writing low-level code and interacting directly with hardware drivers and wireless protocols (WiFi, Bluetooth)
- • Ability to prototype quickly and debug across software and hardware layers
- • Willingness to travel occasionally and work hands-on with hardware in lab environments
- • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
