• • Join Voltus as a Software Engineer I and become a foundational member of a fully-remote team that is literally re-wiring the North American energy grid. Every line of code you ship will help thousands of distributed energy resources—solar arrays, batteries, EV chargers, smart thermostats—earn revenue while making the grid cleaner and more resilient.
• • You will own features end-to-end, from whiteboard sketches to production deployment, on a modern stack that includes TypeScript, React, Go, Python, FastAPI, Postgres, Delta Lake, and ClickHouse. Our services run on Docker and the HashiStack in AWS, giving you exposure to cutting-edge cloud-native patterns.
• • Day-to-day, you will write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that scales to millions of meter readings per minute. Whether you are extending a core API that market operators depend on, optimizing a data pipeline that processes terabytes of energy telemetry, or crafting customer-facing dashboards that turn complex market signals into simple actions, your work will have immediate, measurable impact.
• • Collaboration is central: you will pair with senior engineers who have built trading systems at Google and data platforms at Tesla, participate in blameless post-mortems, and present lunch-and-learns to share new discoveries. Code reviews are treated as teaching moments, not gate-keeping rituals.
• • You will also sit shoulder-to-shoulder (virtually) with product managers, energy-market analysts, and regulatory experts to translate thorny market rules into elegant software. Expect to see your features deployed to production within days, not quarters, and to watch real-time dashboards light up as batteries respond to your dispatch commands.
