📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer focused on Flights and Loyalty at Taekus Inc, you will play a critical role in scaling the company’s flight routing and booking engine, directly contributing to the expansion of its premium travel rewards ecosystem within a profitable fintech startup generating $70M in annual revenue.
• Day to day, you will drive core feature delivery across the flight booking funnel—from search to booking creation and post-booking fulfillment—build logic for award ticket inventory pricing and point transfers, and integrate with external airline and GDS partners like Amadeus or Sabre, navigating complex protocols and data schemas.
• You will join a specialized Flights & Loyalty team led by a resident flights expert, working within Taekus, a 6-year-old luxury financial services company serving an affluent global customer base with premium checking, credit, and debit accounts paired with an exclusive travel rewards ecosystem.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in airline loyalty systems, GDS integrations, and full-stack development using Python/Django, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and AWS, while influencing both technical and strategic direction in a high-growth startup environment where your passion for travel hacking and credit card points can be directly applied to product innovation.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of engineering experience, most recently writing production-grade Python
• Experience with GDS systems, such as Amadeus or Sabre
• Technical experience in: Python / Django, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, AWS
• Personal engagement with credit card points/travel hacking, including booking flights with points and familiarity with airline rewards search engines
• History with FlyerTalk and experience considering or building flight inventory scrapers
