- • As a Software Engineer II on the Data Platform team at Sony Interactive Entertainment, you will contribute to building scalable, high-performance systems that power data-driven features across PlayStation’s ecosystem, supporting millions of users and creators worldwide.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing, testing, and deploying production-grade code; collaborating with global engineering teams across time zones; supporting data cataloging, analytics, and ETL/ELT pipelines; identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks; building services for structured and unstructured data (audio, video, text, images); participating in on-call rotations; contributing to documentation; presenting work in team demos; and continuously learning emerging technologies in the data platform space.
- • You will join the Platform Engineering Group within PlayStation, a global leader in interactive entertainment, where innovation, technical excellence, and inclusivity are core values. The team operates in an agile, collaborative environment focused on delivering reliable, scalable platforms that enhance user experiences.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and real-time data processing; gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, and AWS/GCP; strengthen your cross-functional collaboration and communication skills; and grow into owning end-to-end features while contributing to PlayStation’s technical roadmap and architectural vision.
