📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer III at Walmart Global Tech, you will design, code, and test high-performance, scalable applications that directly impact millions of Walmart-International customers across supply chain management and customer experience domains.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing robust applications using Java J2EE, working with distributed systems, implementing RESTful web services, applying design patterns and data structures, and leveraging Kafka, Cassandra, and containerization technologies in a microservices architecture.
• You will join a collaborative team supporting Walmart International’s global operations spanning over 5,900 retail units across 26 countries, contributing to technology that powers retail innovation at scale.
• This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in enterprise-scale systems, mentor junior engineers, and grow your career within a people-led, tech-empowered environment focused on solving complex retail challenges through innovation.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Java J2EE technologies, distributed systems, and large-scale application development and design
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and Cassandra
• Demonstrated knowledge of RESTful web services
• Demonstrated knowledge of design patterns and data structures & algorithms
• Experience with containerization technology and microservices
• Proficiency in CI/CD practices
