📋 Description

• Architect and own the entire patient and clinician journey from first click to last follow-up. You will design, build, and iterate on telehealth workflows that include intake, eligibility verification, visit scheduling, real-time video, asynchronous messaging, and post-visit follow-up—ensuring every interaction feels as effortless as the best consumer apps while remaining clinically rigorous.
• Build the clinical backbone that powers Noho’s care model. You will create charting tools, order sets, structured data capture, and decision-support surfaces that reduce cognitive load for clinicians and let them focus on patients instead of paperwork. Your code will surface the right information at the right moment, whether that’s a protocol reminder or a lab trend that needs attention.
• Own fulfillment and quality operations end-to-end. You will integrate with U.S.-based distributors sourcing from FDA-registered and inspected manufacturers, design tracking and exception-handling systems, and build internal dashboards that let operations teams spot bottlenecks before patients feel them.
• Design secure, scalable data models and APIs for medical records, prescriptions, and longitudinal patient data. You will decide when to integrate with third-party EHR/EMR, lab, pharmacy, logistics, and payment providers—and when to build in-house for speed, cost, or user experience. Every choice you make will be HIPAA-compliant and privacy-first by design, not by afterthought.
• Ship polished, responsive front-end experiences in React (or a modern equivalent) that delight patients and clinicians alike. You will obsess over loading states, error handling, and accessibility, ensuring that a 70-year-old on a rural connection has the same smooth experience as a 25-year-old on fiber.
• Collaborate daily with the Co-Founders, CMO, Product Designer & Design Engineer, and Head of Growth. You will join user interviews, sit in on clinician shadowing sessions, and turn raw insights into prototypes within hours—not weeks—then measure impact through product analytics and rapid iteration.
• Establish engineering culture, standards, and tooling from the ground up. You will pick the linters, CI/CD stack, monitoring, and alerting systems that let a small team move fast without breaking trust. As the team grows, you will interview, onboard, and mentor future engineers, scaling both code and culture.
• Tackle ambiguous, high-stakes problems with a bias to build. Whether it’s a new reimbursement rule or a spike in patient questions, you will move from “We should probably do X” to a proposal and first production version in days, then refine based on real-world feedback.
• Champion “Patients before process.” You will question requirements that add friction, push back on unnecessary complexity, and always ask, “Does this help a patient get healthier faster?” Your work will be visible, meaningful, and felt by real patients within weeks—not quarters.
• Embrace remote-first collaboration with teammates in LA, SF, NYC, North Carolina, and beyond. You will over-communicate in Slack, Loom, and Notion, and every six weeks you’ll fly to an in-person offsite to whiteboard, eat great food, and deepen relationships that make async work effortless.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack or backend-leaning engineer with production ownership of user-facing features
• Proven track record shipping and scaling systems in a high-growth startup environment
• Deep comfort across the stack: backend API design, data modeling, async processing, and modern React (or equivalent) front-end development
• Demonstrated commitment to reliability, correctness, and safety—especially when handling sensitive health data
• Ability to translate messy, real-world requirements from clinicians and operators into clean, pragmatic code
