• • As a Software Project Manager at Obsidian Systems Inc., you will be entrusted with the complete ownership of projects, guiding them from their initial conception through meticulous planning and execution, all the way to their successful delivery. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all teams remain seamlessly aligned, and that projects progress without impediment. You will serve as the central point of contact, ensuring that project scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations are consistently synchronized and managed effectively.
• • Key Responsibilities:
• • Spearhead the management of multiple concurrent software development projects, overseeing each initiative from its inception phase through to its triumphant completion.
• • Develop, meticulously maintain, and regularly update comprehensive project plans, detailed timelines, and strategic resource allocation models to ensure optimal project execution.
• • Foster and facilitate clear, consistent, and effective communication channels between client teams, internal engineering departments, and all other relevant stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
• • Proactively identify potential project risks, critical dependencies, and operational blockers, developing and implementing robust mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• • Diligently review and update our project management system, specifically Linear, ensuring all project data is current and accurate. Escalate any major blockers or significant risks to leadership promptly to safeguard project timelines and objectives.
• • Lead and facilitate all essential agile ceremonies, including sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, retrospective meetings, and backlog grooming sessions, to maintain agile workflow efficiency.
• • Rigorously track and report on project progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), and critical milestones to senior leadership and all project stakeholders, providing transparent insights into project health.
• • Cultivate and drive a culture of strong collaboration across distributed teams, effectively coordinating efforts among team members spanning multiple time zones to ensure cohesive teamwork.
• • Act as a champion for best practices in software development methodologies and agile project management, promoting continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes.
• • Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and align with client requirements and business objectives.
• • Manage project budgets and resource constraints effectively, making informed decisions to optimize project outcomes.
• • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders, understanding their needs and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• • Adapt project plans and strategies in response to changing requirements or unforeseen challenges, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
• • Conduct post-project reviews and retrospectives to capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for future process enhancements.
