📋 Description

• Serve as a Solution Architect leading technical engagement with enterprise customers in the language and localization technology space, positioning DeepL’s AI-powered translation platform as the strategic solution for complex multilingual workflows.
• Engage directly with localization program managers, language operations leads, IT architects, and procurement stakeholders to assess current translation stacks, content volumes, language pairs, TMS configurations, and LSP relationships, identifying pain points where DeepL delivers measurable impact.
• Design and present comprehensive workflow transformations, mapping customers’ current manual, fragmented localization processes against a future state optimized with DeepL’s AI platform to demonstrate efficiency gains, reduced costs, and improved quality.
• Lead high-impact proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives and technical architecture reviews to validate translation quality, integration feasibility, and operational scalability, addressing enterprise concerns around security, compliance, data residency, and governance.
• Develop and refine standardized playbooks—including discovery frameworks, architecture templates, ROI models, and automation recipes—that enable the global go-to-market team to scale successful customer engagements consistently.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal Product and Engineering teams, translating real-world customer challenges and feedback into actionable product roadmap inputs and feature enhancements.
• Speak authoritatively on modern AI and localization stacks, including MCP, CLI, Claude code, TMS integrations, Machine Translation APIs, Translation Memory systems, glossary management, CMS connectors, and REST/webhook architectures, without needing to have built them all.
• Navigate complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders—from Localization Managers to C-level buyers—simplifying technical complexity and making platform transformation feel achievable and aligned with business goals.
• Maintain deep familiarity with the Language Service Provider (LSP) model, including how LSPs procure, resell, and integrate machine translation technologies into their service offerings.
• Collaborate with global teams across time zones to ensure seamless customer experiences, leveraging hybrid work flexibility and flexible hours to align with regional customer and team schedules.
• Participate in monthly Hack Fridays to explore innovative projects, collaborate across teams, and contribute creative solutions that extend beyond core responsibilities.
• Contribute to a culture of open communication, direct feedback, and empathy, reinforcing DeepL’s mission to connect cultures through technology and human-centered collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Solution Consulting, or Technical Pre-Sales, ideally within language technology, localization, enterprise SaaS, or system integrator environments
• Strong familiarity with modern AI and localization stacks including TMS, MT APIs, Translation Memory, glossary workflows, CMS integrations, and REST/webhook architectures
• Proven ability to map enterprise content pipelines and drive workflow transformation by illustrating before-and-after states for manual, fragmented processes
• Fluency in English; additional proficiency in German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Japanese strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of LSP business models and how they integrate and resell machine translation technologies
• Experience engaging with IT, legal, and procurement stakeholders on security, compliance, data residency, and governance in regulated industries
