📋 Description

• • As a Solution Architect specializing in Network & Connectivity at Fivetran, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers can securely and reliably connect their data environments to our cutting-edge data integration platform. This customer-facing position is crucial for enabling seamless data flow, particularly for our SaaS and Hybrid product offerings, by designing, validating, and guiding the implementation of robust networking solutions.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to act as a trusted technical advisor, engaging with customers through a structured ticketing system to address their specific connectivity needs. You will delve deep into designing secure network architectures that facilitate Fivetran's ability to exchange data with diverse customer infrastructures, spanning both cloud and on-premise environments.
• • A significant focus of this role will be on private connectivity solutions, network isolation, and the establishment of secure data flows. You will be instrumental in defining and implementing the authentication and credential mechanisms necessary to establish and maintain these critical connections, ensuring data integrity and security at every step.
• • You will collaborate closely with customer security, network, and platform teams, leveraging your expertise to design solutions that integrate Fivetran's services. This will involve working with a range of technologies, including but not limited to AWS PrivateLink, GCP Private Service Connect, Azure Private Endpoints, VPNs (site-to-site and client), SSH tunneling (both direct and reverse), subnet peering, and various hybrid networking patterns.
• • While this role is not directly involved in sales, your technical guidance and ability to articulate complex solutions will be vital in building customer confidence and facilitating successful adoption of Fivetran's services. You will guide customers through architectural decisions, help them understand security tradeoffs, and provide detailed implementation guidance.
• • Cross-functional collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work hand-in-hand with internal teams such as Customer Support, Customer Success, Field Sales, Product Management, and Engineering. This partnership ensures that customer connectivity requirements are met efficiently, securely, and in alignment with Fivetran's product roadmap and best practices.
• • You will be responsible for responding to and owning customer requests for networking and authentication assistance, ensuring timely and effective resolution. This includes leading in-depth customer discussions focused on their unique connectivity requirements, preferred authentication models, security constraints, compliance mandates, and existing network topology.
• • A core part of your work will involve guiding customers through the setup of essential networking and authentication resources. This encompasses private cloud links, VPN architectures, SSH-based tunneling solutions, proxy agent configurations, and hybrid deployment patterns. You will also be tasked with troubleshooting complex networking, connectivity, and security issues that may impact data pipelines, ensuring minimal disruption.
• • You will rigorously validate proposed architectures against customer security, compliance, and operational requirements, ensuring that all solutions meet the highest standards. Furthermore, you will be responsible for producing clear, concise, and comprehensive architecture diagrams, implementation guides, and customer-facing documentation that empower customers to successfully manage their Fivetran integrations.
• • In partnership with Support and Customer Success teams, you will ensure smooth handoffs and contribute to positive customer outcomes. Your insights into recurring customer challenges will be invaluable, providing critical feedback to the Product and Engineering teams regarding connectivity-related gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• • This is a full-time, remote position based in India, requiring you to work hours aligned with North American business schedules (9:30 PM - 5:30 AM IST). This unique schedule allows for direct collaboration with our US-based teams and customers, fostering a truly global and integrated work environment.
• • You will leverage a wide array of technologies, including Fivetran's SaaS and Hybrid Deployment Models, cloud networking services across AWS, GCP, and Azure, private connectivity solutions like PrivateLink and Private Service Connect, VPC/VNet peering, various VPN technologies, SSH tunneling, bastion hosts, proxy agents, and secure authentication mechanisms such as SSH keys, certificates, and IAM roles.
• • A strong foundation in networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, CIDR, NAT, and experience in Linux/Unix environments, is essential. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools like Git will also be beneficial.
• • Ultimately, you will be a key contributor to Fivetran's mission of making data access as simple and reliable as electricity, by ensuring our customers can connect their data securely and efficiently, regardless of their infrastructure complexity.
