We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Solutions Engineer to take ownership and drive the evolution of our internal tools, automation initiatives, and data onboarding processes across the entire Renterra organization. This pivotal role operates at the dynamic intersection of engineering, customer success, and operations, with a singular focus on enhancing team productivity and streamlining operations through sophisticated internal tooling, optimized developer workflows, and intelligent automation.
• • This is a hybrid position based in our Chicago office, fostering a collaborative environment with regular in-person engagement while offering the flexibility for focused remote work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DevOps or platform engineering, with demonstrable experience in managing and enhancing internal tools, automating complex processes, and working extensively with data beyond traditional infrastructure management.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to own and meticulously maintain our suite of internal tools and the underlying internal tooling platforms. This includes not only ensuring their current functionality but also proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, enhancement, and strategic evolution to meet the growing needs of the company.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves building and refining customer data onboarding workflows. This will require hands-on engagement with data, encompassing its entry, rigorous validation, meticulous cleaning, and precise transformation to ensure data integrity and usability for downstream processes and analytics.
• • You will be instrumental in developing and implementing automation solutions designed to significantly reduce manual effort, minimize errors, and enhance the overall reliability and efficiency of our internal processes. This proactive approach to automation will free up valuable team resources and allow for greater focus on strategic initiatives.
• • We encourage the practical application of AI tools to internal workflows where they can deliver tangible value. This includes exploring and implementing AI-driven solutions for tasks such as data analysis, process optimization, anomaly detection, and intelligent automation, thereby driving innovation and efficiency.
• • Close collaboration with our Customer Success and Engineering teams will be paramount. You will work hand-in-hand with these departments to gain a deep understanding of their existing workflows, identify key pain points, and co-create solutions that address their specific challenges and improve their day-to-day operations.
• • Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for all internal tools and processes is a critical requirement. Clear, concise, and accessible documentation ensures knowledge transfer, facilitates onboarding of new team members, and supports the long-term maintainability of our internal systems.
