• • As a Solutions Engineer at Direct Travel, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and optimal performance of our operational environment by providing expert technical direction to our valued suppliers.
• • This position offers a unique opportunity to act as a technical subject matter expert, focusing on a specific technology stack or hardware configuration, such as Linux, Windows, Storage, Network, Intranet, WEB, or Databases.
• • You will be instrumental in the design and implementation phases of technical projects, offering crucial input and design assistance to suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.
• • A key responsibility involves the research and evaluation of potential system solutions, including a thorough assessment of product and vendor offerings to identify the best fit for Voya's needs.
• • You will collaborate closely with suppliers to diagnose and resolve system outages or performance issues, helping them identify root causes and recommending effective corrective actions.
• • Working under the guidance of a Solutions Engineering Consultant or Lead, you will contribute to the preparation of proposals for management, outlining technical directions and proposed solutions.
• • You will actively collaborate with suppliers on change implementation plans, ensuring that modifications are executed smoothly and efficiently.
• • A significant part of your role will involve monitoring the day-to-day progress of vendors on projects and problem remediation efforts, escalating issues to senior engineers when necessary for more complex initiatives.
• • You will be responsible for analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track supplier adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), making recommendations for remediation plans to leadership.
• • Participation in critical troubleshooting calls (P1/P2/P3) will be required, demonstrating your ability to respond effectively to urgent technical challenges.
• • You will perform specific, defined tasks as an integral part of project teams, contributing to the overall success of IT initiatives.
• • Availability for an on-call rotation is expected, ensuring continuous support for critical systems.
