  • • As a Solutions Engineer, Commercial - East at Drata, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by bridging technical expertise with sales strategy to help enterprise clients understand and adopt Drata’s compliance automation platform, directly contributing to customer acquisition, retention, and expansion in a high-impact, remote-first role aligned with Central or Eastern time zones.
  • • You will partner closely with sales executives to architect and execute strategic deal plans, lead technical discovery sessions, design and deliver compelling product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, manage end-to-end RFP/RFI responses, translate customer needs into actionable feedback for R&D, and build compelling financial business cases that accelerate sales cycles while ensuring technical accuracy and customer alignment.
  • • You will act as a trusted technical advisor to senior stakeholders, translating complex compliance and security concepts into clear, persuasive narratives that resonate with CISOs, CTOs, and VPs of Engineering, while continuously gathering competitive intelligence to refine positioning and differentiate Drata’s solution in the market.
  • • You will contribute to a culture of ownership and velocity by creating scalable processes for technical enablement, improving internal collaboration between sales and product teams, and driving efficiency in the sales motion through documentation, best practices, and iterative feedback loops that reduce friction in the buyer’s journey.

  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in enterprise SaaS sales engineering, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.), cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure), and executive-level stakeholder management, positioning yourself for advancement into senior technical sales, solutions architecture, or product leadership roles while growing alongside a rapidly scaling, profitable startup.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3+ years of experience as a Sales or Solutions Engineer, preferably in the SaaS or enterprise technology space, with a proven track record of supporting complex solution sales cycles and driving technical win rates.
  • • Strong technical background with hands-on or deep understanding of software development, web technologies, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), enabling you to effectively engage with engineering teams and architect credible proof-of-concepts.
  • • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and compliance concepts into clear, compelling narratives for C-suite and technical audiences, supported by experience delivering executive-level demos and workshops.
  • • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with senior executives, including CISOs, CTOs, and VPs of Engineering, through consultative selling and trusted advisory engagement.
  • • Experience managing RFP/RFI processes end-to-end, including coordinating cross-functional inputs, drafting technical responses, and aligning solutions with customer requirements and compliance frameworks.
  • • Demonstrated success in shortening sales cycles through effective technical validation, proof-of-concept execution, and proactive objection handling without overcomplicating the buyer’s journey.
