- • As a Solutions Engineer, Commercial - West at Drata, you will play a critical role in bridging technical expertise with sales strategy to drive customer acquisition and retention in the enterprise SaaS market. Your work directly supports Drata’s mission to help organizations build and maintain trust through automated compliance and security posture management, making you a key contributor to the company’s growth and market impact.
- • You will partner closely with sales executives to own the technical execution of complex sales cycles, from initial prospecting through deal closure and post-sale enablement. This includes designing and delivering tailored solutions, managing RFP/RFI responses, building proof of concepts, and translating customer needs into actionable product feedback for R&D—ensuring technical excellence accelerates rather than hinders the buyer’s journey.
- • Drata’s commercial team operates within a high-velocity, mission-driven culture rooted in trust, speed, and continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with a talented, owner-operator-minded group of professionals who prioritize customer outcomes, embrace automation-first thinking, and thrive on solving complex problems with precision and urgency—especially during in-office collaboration days (Tuesday–Thursday) in the San Francisco hybrid model.
- • In this role, you’ll deepen your expertise in enterprise SaaS sales engineering, sharpen your ability to communicate complex technical value to non-technical stakeholders, and gain exposure to cutting-edge GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) technology. You’ll have the opportunity to influence product direction through customer insights, shape scalable sales processes, and grow into a trusted advisor to senior executives—positioning yourself for long-term impact in both technical and commercial leadership paths.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience as a Sales or Solutions Engineer, preferably in the SaaS or enterprise technology space
- • Proven track record of successfully selling or supporting complex enterprise solutions to senior executives
- • Solid technical background with hands-on experience in software development, web technologies, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- • Ability to creatively explain and present complex technical concepts in clear, compelling ways tailored to business audiences
- • Experience building proof of concepts and managing end-to-end RFP/RFI responses
- • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with a track record of delivering persuasive demos and executive-level communications
