📋 Description

• As a Solutions Engineer (CPAs) for one of Weekday's clients, you will serve as the internal voice of the customer, bridging the gap between complex financial needs and technical product solutions. Your role is critical in ensuring that enterprise clients—particularly those in finance and accounting—receive tailored configurations that address intricate billing, revenue recognition, and reporting challenges, directly impacting deal success and customer satisfaction.
• Day to day, you will comprehend customer billing frameworks and configure contracts, pricing, metering, and invoicing; convert business needs into structured workflows; collaborate with Sales on live demos, sandbox setups, and RFP responses; engage in discovery discussions with finance leaders such as CFOs, Controllers, and VPs of Finance; create and maintain demo environments reflecting real-world enterprise scenarios; act as an internal customer advocate by feeding insights to Product and Engineering teams; prepare documentation for handoffs; develop customer-specific solution and onboarding materials; and contribute to internal knowledge bases and enablement resources.
• You will be part of a customer-focused, cross-functional team working closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver scalable, compliant solutions for enterprise clients. The company operates at the intersection of finance technology and SaaS, helping organizations automate and optimize complex financial operations, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and scalability in revenue management.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in revenue recognition standards (such as ASC 606), billing systems, and ERP integrations; gain exposure to high-stakes enterprise sales cycles; influence product roadmap through direct customer feedback; develop advanced technical and consulting skills in financial systems; and build credibility as a trusted advisor to finance leaders—positioning yourself for growth into senior pre-sales, solution architecture, or customer success leadership roles.

🎯 Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Technical Consulting
• CPA certification or equivalent experience in accounting, audit, financial operations, or ERP consulting
• Practical experience performing revenue recognition using Excel and/or ERP systems
• Thorough understanding of the finance function, including priorities and operations of controllers (close cycles, revenue recognition, accounts receivable hygiene)
• Comfortable managing deal cycles exceeding $75k and navigating multi-stakeholder purchasing processes
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate the rationale behind solutions beyond implementation details
