- • As a Solutions Engineer - Data Engineering at Astronomer, you will be part of the Global Services Delivery Team, helping customers implement Apache Airflow and the Astronomer platform to build reliable data products that unlock insights and power AI-driven applications.
- • You will work directly with customers and partners post-sales to educate them on Airflow best practices, design and optimize data pipelines, refactor DAGs, and act as a trusted advisor across diverse environments—from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.
- • You will join a team at the forefront of DataOps, contributing to the success of Astro, Astronomer’s unified platform powered by Apache Airflow, used by over 800 leading enterprises worldwide.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Apache Airflow and Astronomer’s platform, engage with the open-source Airflow community, influence product improvements through customer feedback, and grow into a trusted advisor shaping how organizations put their data in motion.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3-5 years of data-engineering experience, ideally working with Apache Airflow in production environments
- • Experience creating DAGs, writing Python, and building Airflow custom operators and hooks
- • Experience with related market products such as Cloudera, Databricks, Snowflake, DBT, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or ETL technologies
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers via Slack, email, knowledge transfer, and pair programming
- • Empathetic, driven, and team-oriented with great prioritization skills and ability to execute on customer-facing activities
