📋 Description

• As a Solutions Engineer - Enterprise at SHI International Corp., you will play a critical role in helping organizations modernize their IT infrastructure by designing tailored solutions that align with business goals, directly contributing to SHI’s mission of empowering organizations through technology since 1989.
• You will collaborate closely with account teams to assess complex data center environments, translate technical capabilities into business value, and serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite IT leaders, ensuring SHI maintains its reputation as a $16B global leader in IT solutions.
• Day to day, you will evaluate customer data center infrastructures, design customized solutions spanning hybrid cloud, hyperconverged, software-defined data centers, and automation platforms, and present these strategies to technical and executive stakeholders.
• You will build and maintain deep technical relationships with OEMs such as Dell Technologies, Cisco, HPE, NetApp, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix, staying current on product roadmaps and innovations to inform solution design.
• You will deliver product training and technical enablement sessions for both internal sales teams and external customers, enhancing their ability to sell and understand complex infrastructure technologies.
• You will manage the solution practice pipeline by identifying high-potential prospects, developing go-to-market strategies, and uncovering new business opportunities across Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, Collaboration, and Services domains.
• You will engage with multiple layers of client contacts — including CIOs, IT Directors, and CTOs — to ensure holistic account coverage and long-term strategic partnerships.
• You will educate sales teams on technical selling methodologies, product positioning, and emerging technology trends, strengthening the overall sales effectiveness of the enterprise team.
• You will develop comprehensive documentation, solution architectures, and best practices that support operational efficiency and knowledge sharing across the organization.
• You will proactively identify risks and opportunities in customer environments, recommending preventive measures and innovative solutions related to disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability.
• You will work remotely from your home office in the San Francisco or San Jose area, with occasional travel required for partner events, customer engagements, and internal meetings.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• 3-5 years of experience in enterprise data center sales or solutions engineering
• Intermediate-level expertise in designing data center infrastructures including hybrid cloud, hyperconverged, software-defined data centers (SDDC), automation, containerization, and data center management platforms
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, hypervisors, and mainstream platforms such as Dell Technologies, Cisco, HPE, NetApp, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix
• Ability to communicate and sell complex technical solutions by translating features into business value for diverse audiences
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability solutions (backup/recovery, clustering, active/active, mirroring)
• Advanced certification in one or more mainstream technologies (e.g., Dell, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, Nutanix) preferred
