Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • The Special Officer, Office of the CEO (China) is a foundational, execution-focused role supporting A1’s China market entry and local setup, working closely with the CEO and early leadership team to drive day-to-day execution required to establish A1’s presence in China.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the CEO on China launch priorities (scheduling, preparation, follow-ups), setting up the China office from scratch (vendor coordination, operational setup, documentation), building relationships with recruitment agencies and hiring partners, coordinating early hiring processes and interview logistics, acting as a central coordination point across HR, Finance, Operations, and Product teams, preparing materials and briefing notes for meetings and partnerships, and handling ad-hoc tasks with speed and flexibility.
- • The role operates within a high talent density, hands-on team at Bjak Sdn. Bhd., where decisions are made collectively, speed is prioritized, and individuals are expected to bring structure, exercise judgment, and execute independently in a fast-moving, unstructured environment.
- • The individual will gain end-to-end exposure to building a market presence from 0 to 1, develop cross-functional leadership coordination skills, deepen operational execution capabilities in a startup context, and build professional credibility by supporting high-stakes initiatives directly under the CEO’s office.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience in operations, executive support, startup operations, office administration, or business coordination
- • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, unstructured environment
- • Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging external stakeholders (e.g. recruiters, vendors, partners)
- • Hands-on, proactive mindset — able to figure things out independently without a defined playbook
- • Willingness to take on both operational and business-facing responsibilities as needed
- • Familiarity with the China business environment (e.g. vendors, hiring landscape, basic admin processes) is a plus
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to work directly with the CEO and early leadership team on a high-impact market entry initiative
- • High autonomy and ownership in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with minimal bureaucracy
- • Exposure to cross-functional operations including HR, Finance, Operations, and Product during a critical growth phase
- • Chance to build professional credibility and skills in executive support, market setup, and stakeholder coordination
- • Potential to join a team building AI products with real-world impact at global scale
