- • The Specialist, People Systems supports the day-to-day delivery of People Systems services, maintaining accurate system configuration, data quality, and management information (MI) reporting. This role is critical to ensuring HR systems operate efficiently and reliably, enabling data-driven decisions that support employee lifecycle processes across the organization.
- • Day to day, the person will maintain configuration and administration of core HR processes such as Hire to Retire, compensation, and Leave and Absence within HR systems; extract, cleanse, and analyze People data in Excel to identify trends and support stakeholder inquiries; build, refresh, and quality-check MI reporting and dashboards using Power BI or similar tools; troubleshoot system and data issues by investigating root causes and implementing fixes; and provide clear documentation and updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- • The role sits within Ancestry’s People (HR) team, which supports a global workforce dedicated to helping people discover, preserve, and share their family stories. - • In this role, the individual will develop strong technical and analytical skills in HRIS administration, data analysis, and reporting; gain experience in change management and process improvement; build cross-functional collaboration abilities with teams including Total Rewards, Payroll, and HRIS; and contribute to measurable improvements in system efficiency, data quality, and user adoption—positioning them for growth into senior HR systems or HR analytics roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience with HRIS systems and core HR processes such as Hire to Retire, compensation, or Leave and Absence administration
- • Proficiency in extracting, cleaning, and analyzing People data using Excel
- • Experience building and maintaining reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar BI tools
- • Strong troubleshooting skills for system and data issues, including root cause analysis
- • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate needs into system solutions
- • Experience supporting change management activities, including testing, documentation, and user training
