📋 Description

• Provide remote speech therapy services to pediatric clients across West Virginia and beyond, delivering evidence-based interventions that improve communication outcomes and empower families as active participants in therapy—this role directly supports Expressable’s mission to expand access to high-quality, family-led online speech therapy through innovative technology and compassionate care.
• Conduct virtual speech and language evaluations, diagnose communication disorders, and develop individualized care plans using Expressable’s secure telehealth platform and proprietary AI assistant, Scout, which streamlines documentation so clinicians can focus on therapeutic engagement rather than administrative tasks.
• Deliver therapy sessions with an emphasis on measurable progress, caregiver education, and family involvement, ensuring that interventions are functional, goal-oriented, and aligned with each child’s developmental needs and family priorities.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer requirements, including insurance and Medicaid billing standards, while participating in required trainings, quality assurance activities, and team communications to uphold clinical excellence.
• Collaborate with a nationwide network of over 200 SLPs through monthly Grand Rounds, specialty clinical groups, and peer support forums, fostering professional growth and shared learning in a supportive, remote-first community.
• Ensure care continuity by providing coverage for colleagues’ PTO and sick leave, demonstrating reliability and teamwork while maintaining flexible scheduling that includes weekday afternoons after 3:30 p.m. and/or weekend availability, with a minimum of 7 hours per week.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through free, in-house ASHA-approved continuing education units (CEUs) and access to premium resources like Super Duper publications, enhancing clinical expertise in pediatric speech-language pathology.
• Utilize company-provided hardware and a user-friendly teletherapy platform to deliver seamless virtual sessions, supported by dedicated administrative and technical teams that reduce non-clinical burdens and allow SLPs to prioritize patient care.

🎯 Requirements

• ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) and a valid individual NPI number
• Current Virginia state speech-language pathology license or willingness to obtain it prior to start date
• Minimum 1 year of post-Clinical Fellowship (CF) experience in pediatric speech-language pathology settings
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and proficiency with teletherapy platforms
• Experience conducting formal and informal speech, language, and swallowing assessments
• Strong computer literacy and ability to independently learn new clinical and administrative systems
• Familiarity with serving insurance-based or Medicaid populations
