📋 Description
- • **Shape the Future of Partner-Led Growth in EMEA:** Customer.io is a leading customer engagement platform trusted by over 8,000 companies worldwide, from emerging startups to global enterprises. We empower businesses to send billions of personalized emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS daily, ensuring customers receive communication they actually want. Our platform excels at leveraging real-time behavioral data to deliver smarter, more relevant messaging. As we aggressively expand our international presence, particularly across Northern Europe, we are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Channel Account Manager to spearhead the development and scaling of our partner ecosystem in this critical region.
- • **A High-Impact, Market-Building Role:** This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of our channel strategy in EMEA. You will be instrumental in identifying, recruiting, and nurturing strategic agency partners who will become key drivers of our international growth. Your primary focus will be to build and scale a robust partner network that generates significant partner-sourced pipeline and revenue, establishing Customer.io as a dominant partner-first brand across Northern Europe.
- • **Embrace the Builder Mindset with Disciplined Execution:** This role demands a blend of entrepreneurial spirit and rigorous execution. You will be responsible for laying the foundational elements of our channel footprint in Northern Europe. This involves not only identifying and onboarding high-potential agency partners but also developing and implementing joint go-to-market strategies and activating repeatable co-selling motions that drive tangible business outcomes. You will operate within an established global channel framework while having the autonomy to shape and refine our expansion strategy for your specific region.
- • **Key Responsibilities and Impact:**
- • **Ecosystem Development:** Proactively identify, recruit, and onboard strategic agency partners across key markets in Northern Europe. Develop comprehensive territory plans to systematically expand our partner footprint and market penetration.
- • **Strategic Partnership Management:** Create and execute joint business plans with partners, meticulously aligned with shared revenue goals and strategic objectives. Foster deep, collaborative relationships built on mutual success.
- • **Revenue Acceleration:** Drive significant partner-sourced pipeline and directly contribute to achieving ambitious closed revenue targets. Execute effective co-selling motions in close collaboration with our Account Executive teams, encompassing both referral strategies and joint deal execution.
- • **Demand Generation Enablement:** Support and amplify partner-led campaigns, events, and demand generation initiatives to broaden market reach and generate qualified leads.
- • **Partner Enablement and Empowerment:** Equip partners with the knowledge, tools, and resources necessary to confidently position, demonstrate, and sell Customer.io solutions, ensuring they become expert advocates for our platform.
- • **Performance Tracking and Optimization:** Lead comprehensive onboarding, training programs, and ongoing enablement sessions for partners. Diligently track partner performance, engagement levels, and revenue contributions, using data to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- • **Communication and Relationship Cadence:** Maintain consistent and effective communication cadences with partners, including conducting regular quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to assess progress, identify opportunities, and address challenges.
- • **Market Intelligence Gathering:** Actively gather valuable market insights and partner feedback to inform and refine internal channel strategies, product development, and sales approaches.
- • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Foster strong, collaborative relationships with internal Sales, Marketing, and Partner Development teams to ensure seamless execution of channel strategies. Represent Customer.io effectively at partner meetings and relevant regional industry events, acting as a key ambassador for our brand.
- • **Measuring Success:** Your success will be measured by key performance indicators including the successful recruitment and activation of new partners within your designated Northern European territory, the generation of partner-sourced pipeline and closed revenue, the effective execution of joint business plans, consistent partner engagement and achievement of enablement milestones, and your overall contribution to the regional growth of our channel program.
- • **Who You Are:** You are a seasoned professional with a proven track record in channel management, partnerships, or B2B SaaS sales. You possess a deep understanding of the agency partner landscape and have demonstrated success in recruiting and nurturing these relationships. You are adept at building new connections, developing strategic territory plans, and thrive in a dynamic, "build mode" environment. Your strong cross-functional collaboration skills enable you to influence stakeholders without direct authority, and you are highly organized with exceptional follow-through and accountability. You are motivated by clear revenue targets and are driven to achieve measurable outcomes. This role offers a competitive base salary of $119,000 USD, with a variable component of $51,000 USD, resulting in an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $170,000 USD (or local currency equivalent), commensurate with experience and market rates.
