  • • As a Sr. Commercial Business Development Manager at GenScript Biotech Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint across key European markets by driving strategic growth in the biologics and gene and cell therapy (GCT) CDMO space. Your work will directly contribute to GenScript’s mission of becoming the most reliable biotech company in the world by accelerating drug development for global customers through end-to-end solutions.
  • • You will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies across multiple EU countries, building country-specific market penetration plans, identifying and nurturing high-value opportunities, and delivering on aggressive revenue targets. This role demands a proactive hunter with deep industry knowledge and a proven ability to close complex, large-scale deals in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
  • • You will join ProBio CDMO’s dynamic European Business Development team, a fast-growing unit within GenScript’s global biotechnology group, which operates across North America, Europe, Greater China, and Asia Pacific. The team is dedicated to providing end-to-end CDMO services from drug discovery to commercialization, with specialized expertise in cell and gene therapy, vaccines, biologics, and antibody protein drugs.
  • • In this role, you will sharpen your strategic deal-making skills, deepen your expertise in advanced biopharmaceutical technologies, and build a influential network with KOLs and external partners across the biopharma ecosystem. You’ll gain end-to-end exposure to opportunity assessment, financial modeling, due diligence, contract negotiation, and partnership structuring — positioning you as a trusted advisor in the CDMO and advanced therapy landscape.
  • • Develop the business development strategy and oversee the effective execution to achieve financial goals in several EU countries/regions.
  • • Build country-specific strategies for regional market penetration and funnel of opportunities, delivering on revenue plans.
  • • Work closely with internal teams to promote and evaluate customer business needs and serve as the main contact for business acquisition.
  • • Proactively prospect potential customers for the whole CDMO service lines and build long-term relationships with customers.
  • • Provide accurate CRM input regarding sales activities, forecast, and lost reporting, as well as competitive information.
  • • Lead in opportunity assessment, financial justification, due diligence, transaction design, contract negotiation, and completion of deals, including strategic partnerships and co-development.
  • • Take the lead in strategic accounts management and strategic deal-making.
  • • Build and maintain a professional network with external companies and KOLs in the biopharma industry.
  • • Up to 50% business travel is required for customer visits.

🎯 Requirements

  • • University degree in a life sciences discipline; PhD degree is a plus.
  • • At least 5 years’ experience leading business development, commercial support, sales, project management, marketing, or related functions in pharmaceutical or CDMO environments, with a proven track record of achieving sales goals and closing large deals.
  • • Hunter’s mindset with established EU biotech/Pharma customer network preferred.
  • • Fluent and professional English proficiency; additional European language is a plus.
  • • Thorough understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry and motivation to learn new service solutions and/or technologies.
  • • Exceptional awareness of the biopharmaceutical ecosystem and deal-making landscape.
