- • As a Sr Data Scientist at Up Labs Inc., you will play a pivotal role in launching AI-enabled ventures by transforming complex data into production-grade machine learning systems that power innovative startup companies from ideation to scale.
- • Day to day, you will apply statistical and machine learning methods to operationally meaningful problems, build and refine digital twins and predictive models of physical assets and workflows, work across hybrid data estates spanning on-prem and cloud platforms, develop scalable data pipelines and ML infrastructure, and collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to deploy monitored data products using PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLflow, and Snowflake.
- • Up Labs Inc. is a dynamic venture studio that builds high-growth technology startups focused on transforming the movement of people and goods, partnering with corporations and entrepreneurs to launch and scale software and hardware ventures through a proven methodology from ideation to MVP and team recruitment.
- • In this role, you will gain deep ownership over end-to-end ML lifecycle processes, strengthen your expertise in production ML systems and modern data infrastructure, influence architectural decisions in hybrid environments, and grow your impact as a technical leader in a fast-paced, innovation-driven startup studio.
🎯 Requirements
- • Hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or ML Engineering roles in Big Data environments
- • Strong applied statistics: experimental design, inference, uncertainty quantification, and ability to distinguish real results from data artifacts
- • Strong Python and SQL fluency, including comfort with modern distributed SQL engines (e.g., Trino, Spark SQL)
- • Experience working with Snowflake in production data environments
- • Practical experience with modern ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow) and experiment tracking tooling (MLflow or comparable)
- • Experience with the full ML lifecycle: ingestion, transformation, feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
