- • Lead the software engineering organization responsible for Dexcom’s Clinical Applications portfolio, overseeing end-to-end development and lifecycle management of clinical software products.
- • Establish and execute a product-based development model with cross-functional teams that own product outcomes, software quality, reliability, and delivery execution.
- • Drive modern engineering practices including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automated testing, integrated quality engineering, and early incorporation of test and verification into the product development lifecycle.
- • Lead engineering teams operating under Dexcom’s Product Operating Model with clear accountability for customer outcomes and software performance.
- • Partner with architecture and platform teams to design and implement scalable, intelligent software solutions leveraging modern cloud technologies and AI-enabled capabilities.
- • Incorporate AI-assisted development workflows and data-driven automation into software products and engineering processes to enhance efficiency and product intelligence.
- • Ensure software reliability and release confidence by embedding quality and verification considerations from initial design through deployment.
- • Manage and mentor high-performing software engineering teams focused on mobile, cloud, and connected healthcare applications serving clinical workflows, therapy management, patient engagement, and healthcare provider experiences.
- • Align engineering strategy with Dexcom’s broader mission to expand beyond diabetes management into personalized, actionable consumer health technology solutions.
- • Maintain compliance with healthcare software standards and regulatory expectations through rigorous software quality practices and verification protocols.
- • Support global scaling of clinical applications by optimizing delivery pipelines, infrastructure, and team structures for international deployment.
- • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centric development within the clinical software engineering organization.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including product management, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and user experience teams to ensure software solutions meet clinical and user needs.
- • Oversee the adoption of modern software architecture, APIs, and cloud platforms to enable secure, scalable, and interoperable clinical applications.
- • Provide strategic direction for engineering investments in AI-enabled tooling, intelligent automation, and data analytics to improve clinical decision support and patient outcomes.
- • Ensure all software development activities adhere to Dexcom’s commitment to integrity, dependability, and improving human health on a global scale.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- • 17+ years of industry experience in software engineering
- • 13+ years of successful management experience in relevant industry
- • Deep experience leading software engineering teams delivering mobile, cloud, and connected healthcare applications at scale
- • Strong technical depth in modern software architecture, cloud platforms, application development, APIs, and software quality practices
- • Proven experience driving transformation toward CI/CD, automated quality frameworks, and integrated product team delivery models
