• • Shape the future of healthcare technology from the ground up. As the first Head of Enterprise Architecture at CHG Healthcare, you will architect the blueprint that enables 15,000+ providers to treat millions of patients annually. You’ll build an EA function that becomes the strategic nerve-center connecting business vision to technical reality across our eight staffing brands and the entire CHG ecosystem.
• • Design and scale a world-class Enterprise Architecture practice. You will create the operating model, service portfolio, governance frameworks, and talent strategy for a brand-new 10-to-15-person EA team. From RACI charts to architecture review boards, you decide how the function runs, what services it offers, and how success is measured.
• • Translate CHG’s growth strategy into actionable technology roadmaps. Partner directly with the CEO, CFO, CMO, and business-unit presidents to map current-state capabilities, identify capability gaps, and craft multi-year modernization plans that reduce technical debt, accelerate cloud adoption, and unlock new revenue streams.
• • Lead enterprise-wide technology modernization. Own the end-to-end vision for migrating legacy on-prem workloads to AWS, decomposing monoliths into microservices, and introducing event-driven architectures that cut time-to-market for new products by 40 %. You’ll prioritize investments, sequence initiatives, and define success metrics tied to EBITDA impact.
• • Champion generative AI and emerging tech adoption. Evaluate, pilot, and industrialize breakthrough technologies—starting with generative AI for clinician matching, credentialing automation, and predictive analytics—that position CHG as the undisputed technology leader in healthcare staffing.
• • Establish architecture governance that balances agility with risk. Chair the Enterprise Architecture Review Board, set technology standards, and create lightweight guardrails that empower 50+ product teams to move fast without compromising security, compliance, or scalability in our highly regulated healthcare environment.
• • Build and mentor a high-performing architecture talent pool. Recruit enterprise, solution, data, and security architects; institute guilds and communities of practice; and create individualized growth plans that turn your team into the most sought-after architects in Utah’s Silicon Slopes.
• • Serve as the executive translator between business and technology. Distill complex architectural trade-offs into C-suite narratives that influence $50 M+ annual technology investment decisions. Present quarterly to the Board Technology Committee, articulating ROI, risk mitigation, and competitive advantage.
• • Drive vendor-neutral, outcome-focused partnerships. Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and compliance leaders to select best-of-breed platforms (Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, etc.) while avoiding lock-in and ensuring total cost of ownership remains 15 % below industry benchmarks.
• • Institutionalize data-driven architecture decisions. Implement EA tooling (ABACUS, LeanIX, or equivalent) and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into technical debt, cloud spend, and architecture fitness, enabling fact-based conversations with finance and operations stakeholders.
• • Foster an inclusive, learning-oriented culture. Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion into hiring practices, mentorship programs, and architecture guilds, ensuring every voice is heard and every idea is stress-tested against CHG’s mission to make healthcare healthier.
