📋 Description

• As a Sr. Engineering Manager (Fraud) at RecargaPay, you will lead engineering teams responsible for building and deploying sophisticated fraud detection systems that protect millions of Brazilian users and small businesses from fraudulent activities, directly impacting the safety and trust in the company’s digital payment ecosystem.
• You will manage and lead multiple engineering teams, set clear objectives aligned with company goals, drive performance management, define KPIs and OKRs, oversee technical roadmaps, manage engineering budgets and tooling investments, and ensure timely delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality systems while fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

• In this role, you will develop leadership expertise in managing complex engineering organizations, deepen your technical and strategic impact in fraud prevention and financial systems, grow your ability to align engineering with business outcomes, and advance your skills in AI-assisted development practices while mentoring and scaling high-performing teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Academic background in computer science, engineering, or software development
• Proven track record of leading teams in product-driven companies
• Hands-on experience with backend technologies (Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS) and delivering scalable systems
• Experience optimizing engineering processes using agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices
• Ability to manage engineering budgets, infrastructure, and tooling investments
• Success in hiring, coaching, and developing engineering talent, including mentoring technical leads
