- • The Senior Federal Account Executive for the Department of Defense drives significant revenue growth and executive-level relationships across a defined portfolio of DoD mission partners, including Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps organizations, owning a materially expanded territory with elevated growth expectations.
- • Day to day, the role manages the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, builds and nurtures trust-based relationships with senior-level professionals, aligns customer strategy with mission partner objectives, and develops and maintains a robust sales pipeline while accurately forecasting and penetrating new accounts.
- • Pluralsight is a mission-driven company providing the only learning platform dedicated to accelerating technology skills for the tech workforce, serving thousands of companies, government organizations, and individuals worldwide in critical areas like AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, software development, and machine learning.
- • In this role, the person will learn to navigate complex multi-stakeholder defense environments, influence senior civilian and military leaders, manage large multi-year SaaS agreements, and shape long-term customer strategy while expanding Pluralsight’s footprint across priority defense missions through collaboration with Business Development, Marketing, Professional Services, Customer Success, and executive leadership.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 12 years of related or equivalent experience; or 8+ years with an advanced degree.
- • Consistent track record of selling SaaS solutions to the Federal Government DOD and successfully attaining or exceeding quota.
- • Expertise in Solution-Selling, Customer-centric Selling, Strategic Selling, the Challenger sale, Business Impact Selling and/or Value Selling.
- • Experience managing a pipeline and closing multi-year SaaS federal DOD contracts.
- • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with customers and within Pluralsight.
- • Strategic negotiation and closing skills with a successful record of navigating stakeholders within large complex organizations and internally.
