📋 Description

• As a Senior Group Product Manager for Earn at Kraken, you will own and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution across the Earn and Borrow product suite, playing a pivotal role in advancing Kraken’s mission to accelerate global crypto adoption and financial inclusion through innovative, secure, and user-centric financial products.
• You will lead a team of two Product Managers, serving as the domain expert in staking, stablecoin yield, DeFi integrations, onchain rewards, Autoearn, and crypto-collateralized lending, while reporting to a senior product leader overseeing embeddable offerings and B2B2C services.
• Day to day, you will define and own the end-to-end product strategy for Earn products including native, liquid, and pooled staking; stablecoin yield strategies; DeFi integrations; and onchain rewards programs, ensuring alignment with market opportunities and user needs.
• You will lead the Autoearn horizontal product initiative, defining positioning, optimization levers, and cross-product dependencies across multiple asset types to create a seamless, intelligent yield-optimization experience for users.
• You will drive product strategy, risk parameters, and UX for the Borrow offering — crypto-collateralized lending — balancing innovation with regulatory prudence and user safety.
• You will manage and develop two Product Managers by setting clear priorities, removing execution blockers, fostering accountability, and elevating the team’s product craft through mentorship and performance feedback.
• You will own quarterly and annual roadmap planning, aligning engineering, design, risk, compliance, legal, treasury, and business stakeholders around shared goals and trade-offs in a high-velocity, regulated environment.
• You will own and optimize key performance indicators including AUM, yield competitiveness, utilization rates, revenue contribution, and user activation/retention across Earn and Borrow, using data to inform trade-offs and investment decisions.
• You will build and interrogate financial models around yield spreads, risk-adjusted returns, and utilization curves to support strategic decisions and communicate trade-offs to executives and cross-functional partners.
• You will navigate complex regulatory and compliance landscapes across jurisdictions, ensuring product innovation proceeds without compromising on legal or ethical standards.
• You will partner closely with risk, compliance, legal, and treasury teams to embed controls early in the product lifecycle while maintaining momentum and user-centricity.
• You will context-switch fluidly between high-level strategic planning and tactical unblocking — whether refining a three-year vision or resolving a blocker in a sprint — to keep multiple product lines moving forward.
• You will communicate clearly and concisely with executives, writing detailed specs that engineers trust to build from, and presenting complex crypto financial concepts in accessible ways to diverse audiences.

• You will grow as a product leader by scaling your influence across complex financial products, deepening your expertise in DeFi and traditional yield mechanisms, and shaping how crypto earn and borrow products evolve in a rapidly maturing market.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years of direct experience managing other Product Managers
• Deep fluency in crypto earn and yield products, including staking mechanics (native, liquid, pooled), validator economics, liquid staking derivatives, DeFi yield sources, and crypto lending/borrow models at a protocol level
• Proven track record of shipping and scaling financial products with meaningful assets under management (AUM) or total value locked (TVL)
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to build and interrogate financial models around yield spreads, risk-adjusted returns, and utilization curves
• Experience working cross-functionally with risk, compliance, legal, and treasury teams to navigate regulatory constraints without sacrificing product velocity
• Ability to context-switch between strategic planning and tactical execution across multiple product lines while maintaining clarity and momentum
• Clear, concise communication skills — capable of presenting to executives and writing detailed, actionable specifications that engineering teams want to build from
