đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Senior HR Generalist at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE), you will be an integral part of our mission-driven organization, dedicated to championing the health and well-being of our members and communities. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your advanced HR expertise in a versatile role that offers significant impact and professional growth.
  • • Your primary focus will be on Talent Acquisition, with a specialized emphasis on recruiting for technology roles. You will manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, from initial job posting and strategic sourcing to in-depth screening, conducting interviews, and extending competitive offers. You will act as a crucial advocate for candidates, providing a positive experience, while also serving as a trusted consultant to hiring managers, ensuring alignment and successful placements.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves proactively building talent pipelines for high-demand and specialized positions. This requires identifying and cultivating relationships with passive talent, acting as a brand ambassador for BCBSNE, and anticipating future hiring needs by partnering closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Development teams, and company leadership. Your foresight will be critical in addressing skill gaps, potential attrition, and upcoming retirements.
  • • You will be instrumental in developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies to attract top-tier candidates. This includes leveraging a diverse range of channels such as professional networking sites, niche job boards, university partnerships, industry events, and employee referral programs to build a robust candidate pool.
  • • Beyond recruitment, you will provide essential front-line leadership support, consulting with managers and employees on a variety of complex HR matters. Depending on assigned areas, this could include navigating employee relations issues, advising on benefits and compensation strategies, or managing recruitment processes.
  • • This role also involves leading or supporting significant HR projects. These initiatives may span performance management cycles, annual merit processes, the development of accurate job descriptions, and broader organizational development efforts. Your contribution to these projects will drive efficiency and effectiveness across the HR function.
  • • You will oversee and optimize sourcing, onboarding, and offboarding processes for both employees and contractors, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all individuals joining or leaving the organization. You will champion the needs of employees and candidates throughout these critical transitions.
  • • A significant responsibility includes administering and optimizing HR systems, such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). You will be expected to troubleshoot system issues, collaborate on system enhancements, and ensure data integrity for your assigned areas.
  • • You will conduct thorough analysis of compensation, job leveling, and pay practices, working collaboratively with department leaders to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures.
  • • Facilitating documentation and process improvements will be crucial for enhancing cross-training opportunities and overall operational efficiency within the HR department.
  • • You will serve as a valuable resource for our Centers of Excellence, providing support for specialized HR functions as needed. Your role as a brand ambassador, both internally and externally, will be vital in promoting BCBSNE as an employer of choice.
  • • Generating and interpreting reports from HR systems will be essential for informing strategic decision-making and evaluating the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • • Ensuring strict compliance with all HR policies and procedures is paramount. You will also contribute to the development of new policies and participate in employee investigations where applicable, upholding the highest standards of HR practice.
  • • This position offers a dynamic work environment where you can apply your broad HR knowledge, with a strong emphasis on strategic talent acquisition, particularly within the technology sector. Your ability to adapt, lead, and influence will be key to your success and the success of the HR team at BCBSNE.
