📋 Description

• • As a Sr. HR Systems Engineer on the People Systems team at Smartsheet, you will serve as a technical leader responsible for designing and delivering complex, scalable solutions across Workday, integrations, and supporting platforms that power the full employee lifecycle.
• • Day to day, you will lead engineering efforts for People data flows, design custom extensions using Workday Studio, APIs, or AWS, partner on automated workflows (joiner/mover/leaver), ensure data reliability and auditability, enable high-quality People data for analytics, reduce manual operations through automation, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with HR, Product, Security, and Compliance stakeholders.
• • You will join the Corporate Systems Engineering team, which builds and operates mission-critical internal platforms with the same rigor as customer-facing software, treating People Systems as a product-grade engineering capability within Product Engineering.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise HR systems, lead technical initiatives independently, influence cross-functional solutions, and grow as a leader in blending platform configuration with custom code, data modeling, and automation in a regulated, scalable environment.
