- • As a Sr. Lead Material Handler at Iron Mountain, you will be at the forefront of managing critical clinical specimen inventory within our esteemed Government Solutions team. This pivotal role demands a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership capabilities, and an unwavering commitment to accuracy and compliance. You will be instrumental in shaping the operational direction of our warehouse associates, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to meet and exceed stringent productivity and quality benchmarks. Your responsibilities will extend to developing and implementing comprehensive training programs, including specialized training for Department of Defense (DOD) and MediaLab protocols, ensuring every team member is proficient in handling sensitive materials and adhering to all regulatory requirements.
- • A core aspect of your role will involve the meticulous management of complex clinical inventory. This includes the precise processing and accountability of microscopic glass slides, paraffin blocks, and formalin-fixed tissues. You will be responsible for maintaining an accurate computer inventory management system, ensuring the secure storage of these vital specimens, and overseeing specialized packaging procedures to guarantee their integrity during transit and storage. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing storage solutions and ensuring the highest standards of material accountability are upheld at all times.
- • You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all specimen relocations, providing expert guidance and oversight to ensure these movements are executed seamlessly and in full compliance with established protocols. Furthermore, you will conduct rigorous periodic audits of repository files. This proactive approach to auditing is designed to identify any discrepancies, address potential issues before they escalate, and guarantee 100% compliance with all company policies and government regulations.
