  • • Architect and execute a 360-degree brand strategy that unifies visual identity, voice, tone, and value propositions across 80+ communication channels, ensuring every touchpoint—from product UI to executive keynotes—feels unmistakably Smarsh.
  • • Drive measurable lift in brand health: define KPIs such as aided/unaided awareness, share of voice, message pull-through, and Net Promoter Score; build a quarterly dashboard that surfaces insights to the CEO, CRO, and Board within 48 hours of each measurement cycle.
  • • Lead global public relations end-to-end: set the editorial calendar, craft news-worthy angles, ghost-write thought-leadership pieces for executives, and secure tier-one coverage in outlets like WSJ, FT, American Banker, and TechCrunch within your first 180 days.
  • • Manage two high-performing direct reports and a network of U.S. and U.K. PR agencies; institute agile stand-ups, clear RACI charts, and a quarterly agency scorecard that ties fees directly to pipeline influence and media quality metrics.
  • • Own crisis and issues management: maintain a living 24/7 response playbook, run tabletop simulations twice a year, and serve as the single point of contact for Legal, Security, and Executive Leadership when reputation is on the line.
  • • Partner with Product Marketing to launch major releases—translating complex AI-driven features into crisp, benefit-led messaging that fuels demand-gen campaigns and accelerates sales cycles by an average of 15%.
  • • Activate a world-class customer advocacy engine: identify 30 reference customers per year, produce multimedia case studies, secure 50+ speaking slots at industry events, and shepherd 20 award submissions that generate third-party validation.
  • • Leverage generative AI tools to scale content production without sacrificing quality—experiment with prompt engineering, synthetic voiceovers, and dynamic video to double content velocity while cutting production costs by 25%.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with Revenue Operations to attribute brand and PR activities to pipeline; build multi-touch attribution models that prove how top-of-funnel storytelling converts to closed-won revenue.
  • • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in storytelling—ensure spokespeople, imagery, and narratives reflect the global communities Smarsh serves, and mentor rising communicators from under-represented backgrounds.
  • • Represent Smarsh on stage and in the media: secure and prepare executives for 40+ webinars, podcasts, and conference keynotes annually, coaching them to deliver authentic, data-rich narratives that position Smarsh as the category creator in communications intelligence.
  • • Continuously scan the competitive and regulatory landscape for emerging narratives—turn new SEC guidance or AI governance frameworks into rapid-response commentary that keeps Smarsh ahead of the news cycle and reinforces trust.
  • • Build and manage a $1.2M annual budget with zero-based planning, quarterly re-forecasting, and clear ROI thresholds that demonstrate marketing efficiency to Finance and the Board.
