  • • Join Aledade, a rapidly growing company at the forefront of value-based care, as our Sr. Manager, Healthcare Payment Operations. This pivotal role, internally recognized as Sr. Manager, Performance Economics, is instrumental in driving our Practice Payments Excellence Initiative. You will be a key architect in our transition to a sophisticated, automated payment processing system that will govern all our health plan contracts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • • As the subject matter expert for contract payment terms, you will dive deep into the intricacies of our agreements with various health plans. Your responsibilities will include providing critical inputs for data ingestion, meticulously mapping required fields to ensure seamless data flow into our new system. This foundational work is essential for the accurate functioning of our payment calculations and reconciliation processes.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves writing and refining the payment distribution logic. You will translate complex contract terms and value-based care methodologies into precise computational rules that drive our automated payment system. This requires a keen analytical mind, a strong understanding of healthcare payment models, and the ability to anticipate potential edge cases and exceptions.
  • • Furthermore, you will take ownership of all payment reconciliation activities. This encompasses the end-to-end process of verifying that payments received from health plans align with our contractual agreements and our internal calculations. This includes identifying discrepancies, investigating their root causes, and implementing corrective actions to ensure financial integrity.
  • • Your work will directly support Aledade’s commitment to compliance and audit readiness. By establishing robust reconciliation processes and maintaining meticulous records, you will ensure that our payment operations meet the highest standards of regulatory scrutiny and internal control. This role is crucial for safeguarding Aledade’s financial health and reputation.
  • • This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of payment operations within a dynamic and mission-driven organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, data analytics, engineering, and practice success, to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing optimization of our payment systems.
  • • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining documentation related to payment terms, calculation logic, and reconciliation procedures. This includes creating clear, concise guides for internal stakeholders and ensuring that all processes are well-understood and consistently applied.
  • • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within payment operations. This could involve leveraging technology, streamlining workflows, or enhancing data validation techniques to increase accuracy and reduce manual effort.
  • • Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in healthcare payment models, particularly within the value-based care landscape. Apply this knowledge to refine our existing processes and inform future strategic decisions.
  • • You will play a key role in training and mentoring junior team members or colleagues involved in payment operations, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • • The ability to analyze complex datasets, identify patterns, and translate findings into actionable insights will be paramount. You will use these skills to troubleshoot issues, optimize payment calculations, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • • This role requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to take initiative, solve problems independently, and deliver results consistently.
  • • Ultimately, your contributions will directly impact Aledade’s ability to accurately and efficiently distribute payments to our partner practices, reinforcing our mission to improve patient care and reduce healthcare costs through value-based arrangements.
  • • This is a remote position, open to candidates located anywhere within the United States, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from home.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation, with the ability to interpret complex datasets, build financial models, and extract meaningful insights using tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar data analysis software.
  • • Strong understanding of contract terms and the ability to translate complex legal and financial language into operational requirements and calculation logic.
  • • Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
