  • • You will oversee project execution and delivery standards within a defined Line of Business (LOB), ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and strictly adhere to our established governance frameworks. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining the high quality and efficiency that our clients have come to expect from SmartBug Media. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will directly impact the success of our project delivery teams and, by extension, the success of our clients.
  • • As the operational leader for Project Managers within your assigned LOB, you will foster an environment of consistency, accountability, and delivery excellence. This involves mentoring, guiding, and supporting a team of Project Managers, helping them navigate challenges, optimize their workflows, and achieve outstanding results. Your ability to inspire and develop talent will be key to building a high-performing project management function.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Account Management, Strategy, and Workforce Management (WFM). This partnership is essential for ensuring capacity alignment, supporting client stability, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks to project delivery. You will act as a critical bridge between these departments, facilitating communication and ensuring that all teams are working in concert towards shared objectives.
  • • Your primary focus will be on execution discipline. You will not be responsible for client strategy or revenue ownership, allowing you to concentrate on the operational aspects of project delivery. This means you will be deeply involved in the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases of projects, ensuring that every deliverable meets our rigorous standards and client expectations.
  • • You will be responsible for establishing and refining best practices for project management within your LOB. This includes developing and implementing standardized processes, tools, and methodologies that enhance efficiency, predictability, and quality across all projects. Your insights and experience will be invaluable in continuously improving our project delivery framework.
  • • This role requires a proactive approach to risk management. You will identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure that these strategies are effectively implemented. Your foresight and ability to anticipate challenges will be critical in preventing delays and cost overruns.
  • • You will play a key role in resource allocation and capacity planning within your LOB. Working closely with WFM and Account Management, you will ensure that project teams are adequately staffed and that resources are utilized effectively to meet project demands and client commitments.
  • • Performance management of the Project Managers within your LOB will be a core responsibility. You will set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development to ensure your team is operating at its highest potential.
  • • You will champion the use of project management software and tools, ensuring that they are utilized effectively by your team to track progress, manage tasks, and facilitate communication. Your expertise in leveraging technology will be essential for maintaining transparency and driving efficiency.
  • • You will be responsible for reporting on project status, risks, and performance metrics to senior leadership. This includes providing clear, concise, and actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making and support continuous improvement initiatives.
