📋 Description

  • • argenx is a pioneering biotech company dedicated to transforming immunology and delivering life-changing medicines to patients suffering from severe autoimmune diseases. With a rich pipeline and a first-in-class therapy already approved, the company is poised for significant expansion. The Senior Manager, Medical Review Operations plays a pivotal role in this growth by ensuring operational excellence and fostering robust collaboration across Medical Affairs and the US Medical Review Community. This role is crucial for streamlining communication, optimizing workflows, enhancing systems, and implementing innovative digital and automation solutions to support the efficient and high-quality execution of medical reviews, directly contributing to argenx's mission of helping patients regain their lives.
  • • In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and continuously enhancing the operational framework for medical reviews. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include refining Medical Review workflows, standardizing documentation, and optimizing existing processes to ensure maximum efficiency and compliance. You will be responsible for curating and maintaining essential community resources, such as comprehensive playbooks, up-to-date reference libraries, and the central Medical Review Hub, alongside managing data on file (DOF) effectively. A key aspect of your role will involve coordinating inter-team scheduling and meticulously managing the Medical Review team calendar to guarantee appropriate reviewer coverage at all times. You will facilitate timely and transparent communication of review decisions to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring that all documentation adheres strictly to governance expectations and organizational standards. Furthermore, you will actively monitor review timelines and operational key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively identifying potential bottlenecks, anticipating future needs, and implementing strategic process improvements to mitigate risks and enhance performance. You will also take the lead in planning and executing Medical Review Community meetings and crucial capability-building sessions, which includes managing scheduling, developing agendas, overseeing quorum requirements, and ensuring timely follow-up on action items. A significant part of your contribution will be supporting the onboarding and ongoing training of the Medical Review Community, covering essential areas such as systems, compliance protocols, established workflows, and clear role expectations, thereby fostering a highly skilled and informed team.
  • • Beyond internal operations, you will serve as the primary Medical Affairs operations liaison for Commercial Operations, actively supporting project prioritization, accurate forecasting, and ensuring alignment with overarching strategic objectives. You will partner closely with Medical Review sub-team leads and the broader review team to harmonize processes and champion best practices across different therapeutic areas within the Medical Review Community, promoting consistency and excellence. Your role will be critical in supporting operational readiness during periods of high review volume, new product launches, and indication expansions, achieved through proactive planning, diligent capacity monitoring, and agile resource allocation. You will be a key player in building, refining, and scaling efficient workflows and robust systems that support the company's growth and operational demands. Your strong attention to detail and a relentless continuous improvement mindset will be vital in driving these enhancements. You will cultivate trusted relationships across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Legal, Regulatory, and Operations teams, fostering a collaborative environment essential for success in a complex, regulated industry. Your proficiency in Veeva Vault and Microsoft tools, coupled with a willingness to evaluate and adopt new digital and AI-enabled solutions, will be instrumental in modernizing our operational capabilities. You will be adept at anticipating operational needs, interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs), and leveraging data to inform strategic decisions and optimize resource allocation. Your ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced contexts and respond effectively to shifting priorities, volume peaks, and evolving processes will be a significant asset. You will actively support capability-building initiatives across the Medical Review Community, ensuring the consistent application of standards, the effective use of tools, and the availability of necessary resources.
  • • In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to significantly shape and optimize the operational infrastructure of a critical function within a rapidly growing biotech company. You will gain invaluable experience in managing complex cross-functional processes within a highly regulated environment, developing expertise in medical review operations and compliance. This position offers substantial learning opportunities in process improvement, system implementation (including digital and AI solutions), and stakeholder management across diverse departments like Medical Affairs, Commercial, Legal, and Regulatory. You will develop advanced skills in data analysis and KPI interpretation to drive operational decisions and resource allocation. Furthermore, you will hone your ability to build strong, collaborative relationships and influence outcomes in a matrixed organization. Successfully navigating the challenges of a fast-paced, dynamic biotech landscape will enhance your adaptability and strategic thinking, preparing you for future leadership opportunities within argenx. You will contribute directly to the company's mission by ensuring the efficient and compliant review of medical materials, ultimately enabling faster access to innovative therapies for patients in need.
