- • Artera Technologies, a recognized leader in digital health innovation, is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Sr. Manager, Sales Training and Strategy to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is designed to be the driving force behind our revenue growth, empowering our Sales and Sales Development Representative (SDR) teams with the essential skills, robust methodologies, and in-depth product knowledge required to excel in the highly competitive healthtech market. You will be instrumental in bridging the critical gap between our Product, Marketing, and Sales departments, ensuring that our teams are not only equipped but also adept at articulating the compelling 'Artera Story' to prospective clients.
- • As a Sr. Manager, Sales Training and Strategy, your responsibilities will extend far beyond the creation of standard presentation materials. You will act as a strategic partner, deeply embedded with our Sales and SDR functions. Your primary objective will be to develop and implement comprehensive training programs that enhance sales effectiveness, accelerate ramp times for new hires, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the revenue organization. This includes designing and delivering onboarding programs, ongoing skill development workshops, and specialized training modules focused on Artera's unique value proposition and solutions.
- • A key aspect of this role involves dissecting sales calls and performance data to identify areas of opportunity and provide actionable coaching. You will be expected to coach on established sales methodologies, such as MEDDPICC or PClub, ensuring consistent application and driving best practices. Your expertise in sales process optimization will be crucial in refining our go-to-market strategies and ensuring alignment between sales activities and overall business objectives.
- • You will play a critical role in translating complex product features and market insights into clear, compelling sales narratives. Collaborating closely with Product Marketing, you will ensure that sales enablement materials are up-to-date, relevant, and effectively communicate the value of Artera's AI-powered virtual agents for patient experience transformation. This includes developing sales playbooks, battle cards, case studies, and other collateral that equip the sales team to address customer needs and overcome objections.
- • The ideal candidate is a 'builder' who thrives on analyzing sales interactions, providing targeted coaching, and demonstrably improving the performance of sales professionals. You will be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of training programs and iterating based on feedback and performance metrics. Your success will be measured by the accelerated ramp-to-quota timelines for new hires, improved sales productivity, and the overall enhancement of the sales team's capabilities.
- • This is a full-time, in-office position, Monday through Friday, based at our vibrant headquarters in downtown Santa Barbara, California. You will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a high-energy environment, build a strong professional network, gain foundational business acumen, and enjoy the exceptional lifestyle benefits of living and working on the beautiful California coast. Artera is committed to fostering an award-winning culture, consistently recognized for its innovation, growth, and as a top place to work, with accolades from Inc. 5000, Deloitte Technology Fast 500, Built In, Forbes, Newsweek, and Business Insider.
- • Your strategic input will directly influence how Artera engages with over 1,000 provider organizations and 100 million patients annually. You will contribute to making healthcare 1 in customer service by ensuring our sales teams are exceptionally prepared to communicate the transformative power of our AI-driven virtual agents, which support every step of the patient journey, from self-scheduling and intake to billing and beyond. This role is essential for scaling our impact and solidifying Artera's position at the forefront of the digital health revolution.
- • You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales training strategy that aligns with Artera's business goals and market position. This includes designing curriculum, creating training materials, facilitating workshops, and providing one-on-one coaching. Your ability to understand the nuances of the healthcare industry and translate them into effective sales training will be paramount. You will also be involved in competitive analysis and ensuring the sales team is well-versed in differentiating Artera's offerings from competitors.
- • Furthermore, you will contribute to the strategic planning process for sales enablement, identifying key initiatives and resources needed to support the sales team's success. This may involve evaluating and implementing new sales enablement technologies, refining sales processes, and developing performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Your role is crucial in ensuring that Artera's sales force is not only knowledgeable but also highly skilled and motivated to achieve ambitious targets.
🎯 Requirements

- • Deep understanding of sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale, PClub) and the ability to coach and reinforce them effectively.
- • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
- • Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect sales performance data and identify areas for improvement.
- • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
- • Generous paid time off (PTO) and company holidays.
- • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a rapidly growing company.
