• • Veritone, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Platform Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our scalable internal developer platform.
• • In this critical position, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the foundational infrastructure that underpins our entire software platform and suite of applications. This is an opportunity to move beyond routine maintenance and contribute to strategic architectural decisions that empower our development teams.
• • Your primary focus will be on architecting and automating robust, high-availability Kubernetes clusters and sophisticated CI/CD pipelines. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our deployment processes, enabling faster and more secure software delivery.
• • You will be empowered to own the entire lifecycle of specific technical areas within the platform. This includes taking the lead on initiatives such as process automation, complex refactors, or optimizing chart layouts, and driving these projects from conception through to successful completion.
• • Collaboration is key to our success. You will be expected to draft clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for all designs, processes, and architectural decisions. This ensures that all stakeholders, including fellow engineers, product managers, and other teams, are well-informed and aligned with the platform's evolution.
• • Beyond technical contributions, you will actively contribute to our team’s engineering standards and foster a culture of technical excellence. This involves sharing knowledge, mentoring junior engineers, participating in code reviews, and championing best practices in platform engineering.
• • A core tenet of this role is embracing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) as a fundamental standard, not an optional add-on. You will leverage IaC principles to manage and provision our infrastructure in a repeatable, version-controlled, and automated manner.
• • Deep expertise within the Kubernetes ecosystem is essential. You will be working extensively with Kubernetes distributions, understanding its core concepts, and applying them to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
• • You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and integrated seamlessly with our development workflows. This includes selecting, configuring, and maintaining the tools that enable continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• • The role demands a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement within the platform. You will be encouraged to explore new technologies, evaluate their potential impact, and propose innovative solutions to enhance performance, security, and developer productivity.
