- • The Sr. Platform Solutions Engineer (SPSE) plays a critical role in deploying and sustaining the Optimal Dynamics platform for customers, translating solution designs into data-driven configurations and validating optimization model outputs against expected operational behaviors.
- • Day to day, the SPSE designs and implements reliable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load transportation data from diverse customer sources; integrates the platform with customer systems using APIs, SFTP, flat files, and direct database connections; calibrates optimization and simulation models to reflect real-world operational constraints; collaborates with Solutions Engineers to translate solution designs into executable platform configurations; monitors system performance post-deployment; and serves as an escalation point for complex technical issues.

- • In this role, the SPSE can deepen expertise in data engineering, model calibration, and system integration within the logistics domain; develop end-to-end ownership of customer implementations; grow as a technical leader bridging engineering, product, and customer success teams; and contribute to continuous improvement of deployment frameworks and tooling while working with a modern tech stack including AWS, Python, Trino, Dagster, dbt, and DuckDB.
🎯 Requirements
- • BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, or equivalent industry experience
- • 5+ years of professional, hands-on product or data science engineering experience designing, building, and maintaining complex solutions with emphasis on full-stack solutions
- • Proficiency in Python 3
- • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (especially AWS)
- • Hands-on relational database experience (i.e. Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server)
- • Knowledge of ops research, optimization, and/or simulation models
