- • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Database and Application Technologies (Oracle, SQL, DB2, SAP, etc.), providing on-site and remote pre-sales guidance and support during sales campaigns and customer meetings.
- • Act as an advisor to account teams to drive technical closure, including assisting with RFI/RFPs, leading database/application sections of POCs and targeted demos, and contributing to business-case/ROI documents related to data protection.
- • Develop and maintain hands-on technical expertise in Commvault’s software and SaaS suite, creating reference architectures, best practices documentation, and training materials.
- • Function as a technical liaison between Sales/SE, Product Management, Engineering/Development, and Professional Services/Customer Success teams, sharing insights, seeking feature clarification, and preparing solutions for deployment.
- • Mentor peers and field systems engineers on technical topics, contribute to training collateral, and identify customer needs through analysis to design sustainable, highly available service architectures.
- • Collaborate across internal teams to develop competitive knowledge and apply it in sales campaigns.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- • 2 years of experience in at least 2 of the following: technical architecture, network management, application development, cloud technologies, middleware, database management, or operations (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree).
- • 2 years of experience with virtualization, storage, and networking.
- • Willingness to relocate within the U.S. and ability to travel 30–40% domestically for customer and employee engagements.
