- • The Sr Sourcing Staff Manager at GE Aerospace negotiates with dedicated providers to achieve optimal contractual conditions while ensuring internal customer satisfaction, interpreting business challenges and recommending best practices to improve products, processes, or services using industry trend insights.
- • Day to day, the role involves defining and improving sourcing strategies at business or plant level, managing regional and business teams, leading functional teams or projects with moderate complexity, presenting business solutions to functional leaders, negotiating internally and externally, influencing peers, and owning or influencing budgets for business segments or P&L areas.
- • GE Aerospace is a global leader in aerospace propulsion, services, and integrated systems with approximately 44,000 in-service commercial aircraft engines worldwide, committed to inventing the future of flight and sustainability; in China for 45 years, it has served over 60 airline customers in Greater China with 7,700+ engines in service and nearly 5,000 on order, driving technological innovation and digitalization for carbon-neutral aviation.
- • The person can learn to lead talent attraction and retention, develop expertise in sourcing management, influence organizational policy, manage medium to large teams, evaluate information quality, resolve conflicting data, and provide thought leadership while contributing to sustainable flight innovation in a collaborative, smart workforce environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Significant experience in Sourcing & Sourcing Management for roles outside the USA, with knowledge comparable to a Master’s degree or high school diploma with relevant experience
- • For roles in the USA: Master’s degree from an accredited university or college, or high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in the relevant job family group or function
- • Strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems, lead programs/projects, and document, plan, market, and execute programs
- • Established project management skills
