- • The Sr. Support Engineer, SAP Hana/Basis role at Rimini Street is critical to delivering expert-level remote support for mission-critical SAP environments, ensuring business continuity and operational excellence for global clients relying on SAP S/4 HANA, ECC, and HANA systems.
- • This position directly impacts customer satisfaction and trust by resolving complex technical issues, enabling clients to maximize their SAP investments while reducing total cost of ownership through Rimini Street’s third-party support model.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include solving complex customer issues using methodical troubleshooting based on deep SAP applications and technology expertise.
- • The engineer will work closely with customers daily to understand evolving business needs, support change initiatives, and deliver consistently high-quality service through proactive communication and tailored support.
- • Providing remote functional support and training for specialist SAP modules is a core duty, ensuring clients can effectively use and maintain their systems.
- • The role involves supporting client customizations by sharing implementation insights and best practices to optimize performance and stability.
- • Developing application break fixes for critical product defects requires diagnosing root causes, creating, testing, packaging, and deploying solutions in complex, highly configured environments.
- • Creating scripts to identify, analyze, and correct data issues is essential for maintaining data integrity and system reliability across client landscapes.
- • Managing one or more key assigned accounts as a technical/functional advisor means acting as the primary point of contact for strategic clients, anticipating needs and guiding long-term SAP health.
- • Providing hands-on assistance using proprietary tools in test environments or via remote client connectivity enables rapid diagnosis and resolution without on-site presence.
- • The role demands proactive contribution to a 24x7x365 support organization, requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular email monitoring outside standard hours.

🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of relevant all-round SAP experience, with specific expertise in SAP S/4 HANA / Basis.
- • Working knowledge as a system administrator with at least two of the following: Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, or Windows.
- • Expertise in SAP HANA in-Memory Platform core technology, including architecture, landscape design, installation, upgrades, performance tuning, and system migration.
- • Demonstrated experience with ABAP debug and troubleshooting.
- • Fluency in both English and Portuguese (spoken, read, and written); Spanish and/or Japanese is a plus.
- • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
