- • Join Globalization Partners, Inc. (G-P) as a Sr. Tax Analyst and become an integral part of our dynamic, remote-first team, contributing to our mission of breaking down barriers to global business and empowering opportunities worldwide.
- • In this pivotal role, you will support the Senior Tax Manager in Mexico and collaborate with international team members, focusing on the day-to-day tax operations for the LATAM region, with a particular emphasis on direct tax compliance, tax provisions, and transfer pricing documentation.
- • You will play a key role in managing the international tax compliance workstream, ensuring that corporate income tax returns for assigned entities in the LATAM region are prepared accurately and filed in a timely manner, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to assisting with the meticulous calculation of the tax provision for LATAM entities, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
- • You will be instrumental in preparing the necessary reconciliations for US GAAP to Local GAAP differences, specifically for tax provisioning purposes, bridging international accounting standards.
- • The role involves assisting with the calculation and analysis of current and deferred tax, and preparing post-tax journals and adjustments for LATAM entities, ensuring precise financial reporting.
- • You will contribute to the preparation of financial forecasts and the analysis of financial reports, providing critical insights for strategic decision-making.
- • A significant aspect of your role will be supporting the company’s global transfer pricing initiative. This includes contributing to the preparation and management of essential documentation such as the master file, local files, Country-by-Country Reporting (CBCR), and CBCR Notifications, ensuring compliance with international transfer pricing regulations.
- • You will work closely with both external service providers and internal team members to address various topics related to direct and indirect taxes, as well as other tax-related issues, such as the tax impact of variable compensation in specific countries.
- • You will provide crucial support to the Senior Tax Manager on a wide range of issues, queries, and projects that arise within the LATAM region, acting as a key point of contact and problem-solver.
- • The role includes assisting with the review of profit-sharing arrangements for certain countries within the region, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- • You will actively develop and deepen your general international tax technical expertise, alongside acquiring specialized knowledge of tax law changes in the LATAM region, staying ahead of evolving regulatory landscapes.
- • You will collaborate with external tax advisors to develop and document positions on international income tax matters, leveraging external expertise to strengthen the company's tax strategy.
- • Assisting the Senior Tax Manager with local tax audits will be a key responsibility, ensuring the timely and efficient resolution of any issues with a focus on minimizing tax liability.
- • You will be involved in responding to inquiries from business units and foreign entities, providing clear and accurate tax-related information and support.
- • You will work in close partnership with the Senior Tax Manager to implement tax projects and planning initiatives, contributing to the strategic tax direction of the company.
- • A critical part of the role is staying up-to-date on changes to tax laws and regulations in the LATAM region, proactively assessing their potential impact on the company's overall tax position.
- • You will collaborate closely with external advisors in Mexico to facilitate the recovery of VAT balances in favor, which involves tasks such as collecting invoices, reconciling payments to invoices, and compiling and reviewing contracts with key suppliers.
- • You will assist in managing and responding to notifications received from tax authorities across the LATAM region, ensuring prompt and appropriate action.
- • Support will be provided for face-to-face reviews with tax authorities in the LATAM region, requiring professional representation and clear communication.
- • You will also assist with tax address verifications at G-P offices within the LATAM region, ensuring compliance with local requirements.
