- • As a Senior Taxonomist at Alkami Technology, you will play a critical role in classifying transaction data using a rules-based taxonomy system to support the Data & Marketing Solutions group, enabling banks and credit unions to gain actionable insights for anticipatory banking.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include researching and classifying transaction terms, updating taxonomy categories, creating and refining classification rules, auditing data for accuracy, mentoring junior team members, leading cross-functional initiatives, and documenting processes to ensure consistency and scalability.
- • You will be part of Alkami’s Engineering Group within a remote-first, fast-growing SaaS company recognized for its award-winning culture, innovation in fintech, and commitment to employee growth and inclusion.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in information science, develop leadership and mentoring skills, influence data quality at scale, and contribute to the evolution of a taxonomy that powers financial intelligence for hundreds of institutions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree
- • Bachelor’s degree in Library or Information Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- • Proficiency in taxonomy classification and understanding of hierarchical ontologies
- • Expert-level internet research skills, particularly for identifying niche and emerging brands
- • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities with stakeholders at all levels
