Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • As a Senior Technical Project Manager at MOXFIVE, you will be at the forefront of managing the most critical and complex cybersecurity incidents our clients face. This role is designed for an individual who thrives under pressure, possesses a deep technical understanding, and excels at orchestrating large-scale recovery operations. You are not just a project manager; you are a leader who can bring order to chaos, guide organizations through unprecedented challenges, and ensure a swift and effective return to normal operations.
  • You will be responsible for the end-to-end project management of major enterprise-scale incidents. This involves leading restoration efforts that often encompass hundreds of impacted systems, intricate application dependencies, and multiple concurrent workstreams. Your ability to develop and execute comprehensive restoration roadmaps will be paramount. These roadmaps will serve as the central nervous system for the recovery, detailing every step, dependency, and timeline required to bring systems back online.
  • A significant part of your role will involve serving as the primary strategic point of contact for a diverse range of high-level stakeholders. This includes C-suite executives, legal counsel, insurance carriers, and external technical partners. You will be expected to communicate with authority and clarity, providing strategic updates, managing expectations, and ensuring alignment across all parties involved. Your ability to translate complex technical challenges into understandable business impacts for executive audiences will be crucial.
  • You will be instrumental in building and maintaining critical project artifacts. This includes detailed master server trackers, comprehensive dependency maps, and executive-level dashboards. These tools are essential for providing all stakeholders with a clear, real-time picture of the recovery progress, potential risks, and upcoming milestones. Your organizational prowess will ensure that these documents are not only accurate but also actionable.
  • A key differentiator for this role is the requirement to independently analyze technical details such as server tiering, application dependencies, and optimal restoration sequencing. You will not simply document existing plans but will actively contribute to strategic decision-making, ensuring that priorities are set intelligently and efficiently to accelerate the recovery process.
  • You will be tasked with coordinating and managing multiple, often competing, workstreams simultaneously. This requires seamless collaboration with internal technical teams, external forensics investigators, client IT staff, legal teams, and various third-party partners. Your leadership will ensure that all efforts are synchronized and moving towards the common goal of restoration.
  • The dynamic nature of incident response means you must be adept at making real-time decisions regarding resource allocation, priority shifts, and adjustments to the recovery approach as incident conditions evolve. This requires a keen ability to assess changing circumstances and adapt the strategy accordingly, often with incomplete information.
  • You will lead critical war room discussions and executive briefings. Your ability to present information with confidence, maintain composure under extreme pressure, and provide realistic timelines will be essential for maintaining stakeholder trust and driving progress.
  • Challenging technical assumptions when necessary is part of the role. You will need to engage with technical teams, question approaches, and drive consensus among stakeholder groups who may have differing priorities or perspectives.
  • As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to mentor Technical and Incident Project Managers, sharing your expertise and contributing to the continuous improvement of MOXFIVE's restoration methodologies and processes. Your insights will help shape how we approach future incidents.
  • This role requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule, which may involve extended availability during critical incidents. This commitment is essential to providing continuous support and leadership when our clients need it most.
  • Ultimately, you will be the linchpin in guiding organizations through their most challenging technical crises, ensuring their resilience and the protection of their future. Your impact will be measured by the speed, effectiveness, and success of enterprise-scale incident recoveries.

🎯 Requirements

  • 6+ years of project management experience leading highly complex technical or cybersecurity projects, with a proven ability to independently manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • A deep technical foundation, including substantial understanding of IT infrastructure, server dependencies, and application architecture, enabling strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with experience designing comprehensive trackers, dependency maps, and dashboards for enterprise-scale recovery operations.
  • Advanced stakeholder management abilities, with a track record of coordinating and influencing C-suite executives, legal counsel, insurance carriers, and technical partners under pressure.
  • Proven crisis leadership experience, demonstrating composure under extreme pressure, adaptability, and the ability to manage extended hours during active incidents.
  • Executive-level communication skills, capable of translating complex technical realities into business impacts for the boardroom and clear direction for technical teams.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous paid time off and holidays.
  • Opportunities for professional development and certifications.
  • Remote work flexibility.
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment.
