- • As a Sr. Territory Account Manager at Illumina, you will drive sales growth and market expansion in the Shanghai region by promoting cutting-edge genomic technologies that advance early disease detection, diagnosis, and personalized treatment options, directly contributing to Illumina’s mission of improving global health equity through innovation.
- • You will represent Illumina with professionalism and integrity while building and managing high-value customer relationships, leveraging CRM tools to track interactions, forecast sales, and identify upsell opportunities based on customer usage patterns and market trends.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, providing training and support, negotiating sales contracts, maintaining accurate account data, and allocating at least 40% of your time to field-based customer engagement to strengthen relationships and uncover new business opportunities.
- • You will collaborate closely with internal teams including product development and business development to align sales strategies, support territory planning, and ensure seamless execution of marketing activities such as workshops, seminars, and conventions.
- • You will play a key role in identifying and qualifying high-potential sales leads through professional screening, developing deep insights into customer organizations, budgets, and decision-making structures, and initiating relationships with key stakeholders to advance the sales cycle.
- • You will be responsible for closing sales deals, maintaining strong pre-sales, sales, and post-sales customer relationships, protecting profit margins through effective negotiation, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the entire lifecycle.
- • You will assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new sales team members, support the expansion into new territories driven by business growth, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing market intelligence and competitive insights.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the life sciences, diagnostics, or healthcare technology sector, with a track record of meeting or exceeding territory sales objectives.
- • Strong proficiency in CRM systems (such as Salesforce or similar) for managing customer data, tracking sales activities, and generating accurate forecasts.
- • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders including scientists, lab directors, and healthcare executives.
- • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, with at least 40% of time dedicated to field-based customer engagement.
- • Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken, to effectively engage with local and international clients and internal teams.
- • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or Engineering; advanced degree or certifications in sales or healthcare are a plus.
