📋 Description

• Staff Accountant role supporting day-to-day accounting function at Tenex.AI, an AI-native MDR cybersecurity startup, ensuring accurate books and timely month-end close as the company scales.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations; manage AP/AR cycles including invoicing, expense reviews, vendor payments, and customer collections; support audit preparation and compliance with US GAAP.
• Join a fast-growing, well-funded cybersecurity startup backed by top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Crosspoint Capital, with a mission to revolutionize AI-native threat detection and response.
• Opportunity to build the accounting function from the ground up as the first dedicated accounting hire, with direct access to leadership, ownership over work, and room to grow scope as the team expands.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience; SaaS, technology, or high-growth environments preferred
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Rillet)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; Salesforce experience is a plus
• Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-changing environment
