📋 Description

• As a Staff Accountant at Pivotal Health Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely financial operations that support the company’s mission to help healthcare providers recover fair reimbursement in a complex healthcare landscape.
• You will own core accounting functions including weekly customer billing, cash postings, expense report reviews, accounts payable processing, reconciliations, and key components of the monthly and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
• You will partner with Operations, Sales, and FP&A teams on invoicing, commissions, reporting, and discrepancy resolution, serving as a trusted financial liaison across the business.
• You will contribute to the design and strengthening of predictable close processes, improve documentation and controls, and support the implementation and optimization of a new ERP system to enable scale and audit readiness.
• You will identify inefficiencies, recommend process improvements, reduce manual work, and help prepare the company for its first financial audit and continued growth.
• You will work in a collaborative, low-ego team environment focused on making healthcare reimbursement fairer, with opportunities to grow your impact in a mission-driven, technology-enabled healthcare finance role.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent hands-on accounting experience with demonstrated mastery of core principles
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Acumatica, or similar ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, large dataset analysis)
• Experienced in monthly close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Comfortable working with high volumes of transactional data
• Able to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
