📋 Description

• • As a Staff Engineer, Identity at Lulus Fashion Lounge, LLC (operating as LTK), you will be a pivotal technology leader responsible for shaping the future of our Identity Platform. This role is designed for an experienced engineering leader who thrives in a hands-on capacity, driving architectural strategy, modernizing our existing platforms, and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable identity solutions across the entire enterprise.
• • You will take ownership of the vision and strategic roadmap for the Identity Platform, collaborating closely with Product Management and key stakeholders to align technical initiatives with business objectives. Your leadership will be instrumental in defining how users, partners, and systems interact securely with LTK's ecosystem.
• • A core responsibility will be the delivery of a robust, scalable, and secure API platform that serves as the single, authoritative entry point for all public APIs. This platform will be tightly integrated with Auth0, a leading identity-as-a-service provider, to manage authentication and authorization processes efficiently and securely.
• • You will spearhead the migration of legacy authentication and authorization systems to Auth0. This critical initiative will involve implementing advanced features such as refresh token rotation for enhanced security, fine-grained authorization (FGA) to control access at a granular level, and comprehensive multi-tenant support to cater to diverse user groups and organizational structures.
• • As the in-house expert on identity and access management (IAM), you will lead the enterprise-wide IAM strategy. This includes deep expertise in Auth0, OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and fine-grained authorization concepts, ensuring LTK adheres to industry best practices and maintains a strong security posture.
• • To foster efficiency and maintain high standards, you will build and maintain reusable code templates, establish robust CI/CD pipelines, and define clear engineering standards. These efforts will significantly improve development speed, code quality, and overall operational excellence.
• • You will act as a technical mentor and guide to the engineering team, instilling best practices in architecture design, security principles, and cloud-native development patterns. Your guidance will empower the team to build resilient and maintainable systems.
• • Building and nurturing strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, particularly within engineering and product management, is essential. You will work closely with these teams to gather requirements, provide technical support, and drive projects to successful completion.
• • This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges, ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of the Identity platform are consistently optimized. You will be responsible for ensuring every component operates at its peak efficiency.
• • You will contribute to the development of internal developer platforms and frameworks, enhancing the developer experience and enabling other engineering teams to build and deploy services more effectively. This includes exploring and implementing tools like Backstage.io or similar solutions.
• • You will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining observability best practices, leveraging logging, monitoring, and tracing tools to ensure the health and performance of the Identity platform and its associated services.
• • Your work will directly impact the security, scalability, and user experience of LTK's platform, underpinning the company's mission to empower creators and drive economic success in the creator economy.
