đź“‹ Description
- • GridCARE is at the forefront of a critical challenge at the intersection of artificial intelligence and energy infrastructure, a domain poised to define the next industrial revolution. We are a venture-backed startup dedicated to solving the immediate constraint in AI's exponential growth: access to power. While the industry grapples with long-term, speculative energy solutions, GridCARE is pioneering a physics-based generative AI platform that unlocks significant hidden capacity within the existing electric grid. This innovative approach enables hyperscalers, data center developers, and utilities to power AI infrastructure years ahead of conventional methods, without the need for costly grid upgrades.
- • As a Staff Infrastructure Engineer - DevSecOps, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the robust, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure that underpins our B2B SaaS platform. This platform leverages sophisticated machine learning models and cutting-edge cloud-native technologies, making security and reliability paramount. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding sensitive customer data and ensuring the integrity of our operations.
- • You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our cloud infrastructure, employing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tooling to ensure consistency, repeatability, and efficiency. This includes developing and maintaining the IaC codebase and the associated tooling that governs our cloud environment, ensuring it can scale seamlessly with the company's rapid growth.
- • A core aspect of this role involves designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive security controls across our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will be instrumental in protecting data both in transit and at rest, with a particular focus on the sensitive customer data that forms the backbone of our service. This proactive security stance is essential for building trust and maintaining compliance.
- • Collaboration is key. You will work closely with our engineering and machine learning teams to embed security best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle. This includes advising on secure coding practices, conducting security reviews, and ensuring that security is a consideration from the initial design phase through to deployment and ongoing operation.
- • Maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations, especially SOC 2 Type II, is a critical responsibility. You will serve as the technical lead for our SOC 2 compliance program, which involves managing the automated collection of evidence through platforms like Vanta or Drata. Your role will extend to identifying and remediating infrastructure gaps highlighted by these compliance tools, ensuring we meet and exceed regulatory requirements.
- • Beyond core infrastructure and security, you will contribute to the evolution of our internal SaaS and productivity stack, ensuring it scales effectively to support our expanding business operations. This involves evaluating new tools, optimizing existing systems, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- • As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to elevate the team's overall capabilities and contribute to the organization's security posture. Your guidance will be invaluable in developing the next generation of infrastructure and security talent at GridCARE.
- • Staying abreast of the latest advancements in infrastructure engineering, security best practices, and emerging AI-driven solutions is essential. You will be encouraged to bring innovative ideas and approaches to the team, helping GridCARE maintain its position at the cutting edge of technology.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the nexus of AI, energy, and infrastructure, directly contributing to solutions that address one of the most significant bottlenecks in technological advancement. You will partner with leading hyperscalers, data center developers, and utilities on high-impact, real-world deployments, shaping a more abundant, efficient, and resilient energy future for the digital era. Join a mission-driven team defining a new category in capacity acceleration for AI and help build the energy foundation for the age of AI.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 7 years of experience in Infrastructure Security, DevOps, or a related field.
- • Extensive experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- • Strong understanding of network security, identity and access management (IAM), and endpoint security.
- • Experience with container security (Kubernetes).
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary and equity.
- • Comprehensive benefits package including 401k, healthcare, dental, and vision.
- • Hybrid work environment with catered lunches and snacks.
- • Opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, automation, data systems, and the Power Industry.
- • Mission-driven team focused on shaping the future of the energy transition.
