Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own end-to-end UX architecture and product strategy for Shop Builder, Xsolla’s no-code/low-code platform enabling game developers to create branded web stores for selling virtual goods, currencies, and subscriptions.
  • • Define scalable design patterns, principles, and user flows that operate across a complex B2B monetization ecosystem, not just isolated screens or features.
  • • Partner closely with product and engineering teams to drive decisions that directly improve conversion rates and partner revenue through data-informed design.
  • • Collaborate with a globally distributed team including US-based product leadership and Europe-based design collaborators, navigating time zone and cultural differences.
  • • Work within real-world constraints including localization, regional pricing, game-specific monetization models, and integration with Xsolla’s checkout and catalog systems.
  • • Contribute to and leverage a mature cross-functional setup including UX Research, UX Writing, DesignOps, and a functioning design system to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • • Help evolve the team’s hiring practices by participating in case interview design and optional whiteboard evaluation stages to assess candidates’ delivery ability and strategic thinking.
  • • Shape AI-driven workflows and features across the product ecosystem, exploring how AI can enhance self-serve capabilities, automation, and designer efficiency.
  • • Translate ambiguous or incomplete inputs into clear, actionable UX directions and practical product roadmaps without waiting for perfect briefs.
  • • Design for scale: create systems that handle millions of transactions across 200+ countries, 20+ languages, and 1,000+ payment methods while maintaining usability and cultural relevance.
  • • Communicate design rationale clearly in critique sessions, stakeholder meetings, and cross-functional alignment forums, ensuring alignment between design, engineering, and product goals.
  • • Maintain technical literacy by reading pull requests, understanding Git workflows, and collaborating with engineers as peers to navigate implementation constraints and opportunities.
  • • Actively contribute to evolving Shop Builder from a service-heavy, custom-built model into a scalable, self-serve platform with templates, campaign tooling, and LiveOps integrations.
  • • Apply systems thinking to solve for ecosystem-wide challenges, ensuring consistency and reusability across product components while accommodating diverse game developer needs.
  • • Use metrics, A/B testing, and revenue impact analysis to evaluate design decisions and prioritize initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
  • • Demonstrate curiosity about player purchasing behavior in gaming and how commerce psychology influences design choices in virtual goods marketplaces.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 8-10 years of product design experience with end-to-end ownership of complex products
  • • Strong UX strategy and systems thinking skills, with an ecosystem-level perspective
  • • Technical literacy: familiarity with Git, developer workflows, and ability to read pull requests
  • • Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech, or gaming industries
  • • Clear, structured communication and stakeholder alignment skills
  • • Comfort working in data-driven environments using metrics, experiments, and A/B testing

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Opportunity to shape the UX architecture of a scalable self-serve platform at meaningful scale
  • • Work within a mature cross-functional team including UX Research, UX Writing, DesignOps, and a functioning design system
  • • Remote-first environment with a globally distributed team and high ownership expectations
  • • Benefits program including healthcare, PTO, and professional development (specifics confirmed in process)
